RACIST BAR: My friends and I had an unfortunate encounter at CJ's during our first visit to Fire Island. Around 11:30pm, while enjoying some drinks, an incident occurred involving one of my friends who wears a turban. While waiting for the bathroom, a bald security guard inexplicably shone his light at him, which left us puzzled. The situation escalated when the security guard approached my friend, unaware that he was part of our group, and made offensive remarks about him. Saying “ He’s going to blow this place up. What is he doing” because he was wearing a turban. The guard's inappropriate behavior was uncalled for, and it's disheartening to experience such discrimination. Attached is a photo of the security guard in question. He tried shining the flashlight at us so we didnt take a picture of him. This incident goes against the "no discrimination" sign that greets visitors as they disembark from the ferry. It's a shame that CJ's displayed such racist and disrespectful behavior, leading us to reconsider supporting their business in the future. I will make sure this incident is shared on every social media platform.

If you're on Fire Island and over 21, make this a stop. And order the Rocket Fuel. Great starting/ending point for a day trip, or meetup for friends gathering on the island.
Came here for Sunday of the holiday weekend. Great atmosphere and awesome service. There were two bartenders, both super friendly. The guy bartender was dressed in an awesome 4th costume, and made us the BEST rocket fuels. I would come again just for him. He made our experience amazing and was not only friendly but very accommodating. Come here!!!

One of the rudest bartenders I’ve ever came across in my life. Screamed at us for not “ordering quickly enough.” The bartender was a guy, didn’t get the name but was the worse service I’ve ever gotten on fire island or anywhere else. Very disappointing because as a bartender myself I typically super understanding.
