The food was absolutely disgusting and the Service matched that. As soon as we got there we asked to sit outside something with shade. We got there around 5 PM. We found a table that was shaded the waitress said we could not sit there because there was a 6:30 reservation for that table. We have to sit at a different table. She said there’s also a reservation for that one. The entire section was completely empty. There’s about 10 tables and maybe one family sitting out there. We finally found a table that she would allow us to sit at. As soon as we sat down, we all ordered and when we went to order dinner, she let us know that the crabcakes were sold out. One of the specials was this crab meat mac & cheese with a Parmesan crust that was supposed to be baked. Me and one of the other people in our party ordered that. The whole time it seemed like the waitresses could not be bothered. We asked for more water and one woman literally stared at us rolled her eyes and walked away. When all of our food came out, the mac & cheese looked horrendous. I’m attaching a photo below of it. It looked like buttered mac & cheese with crab meat just tossed in it no topping. When we asked the waitress if this was the one with the Parmesan cracker crust she said yes but they ran out of some items for the Mac and cheese and crust. For $25 I wish she would have told us that instead of getting the disgusting meal we got. Thank God we ordered a side of fries I just had that. By 6 o’clock she asked if we were ordering more when we said no she gave us the check we just got our food 20 mins before that we were still eating! By 615 she came over and told us that we had to leave because the reservation for 630 wanted our table also so we were being told to go. For spending over $300 on food and drinks telling people while they’re still eating that they have to leave is crazy. And on top of that, there was still at least eight open tables around us. I would never go back to this place and I would recommend nobody go to this place. Food was disgusting. Service was horrible and they rush you out for the price we paid. We should’ve been able to finish our dinner.

For these prices staff needs to clear plates, check on customers every now and then, and not reach over people to place meals. Simple elegant dining protocol. Your waiters are nice but clueless.

And the food was good but please have ordinary items like tartar sauce in stock, and try not to run out of things by 6pm on a Wednesday?

It's a good setting but just tired and frankly grimey. The food was objectively gross. Nobody in our (large) group liked anything.

Went here with relatives for a special occasion. Service is very good but the food is subpar.
Even though it was a weekday during the busiest time of the season, they were sold out of a lot of menu items.
We ordered salad to share and were disappointed to find it mostly greens. I ordered the chicken skewers for myself. It was just average. The chips, while homemade, were extremely salty. The side salad that came with the main was the same as the appetizer salad.
Others in my party who ordered the burger and seafood tower seemed satisfied. However, those who ordered the muscles felt sick the following day.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice and feels upscale. Service is top notch too.

The service was good, the view was beautiful, it took a long time for the meal. I ordered a burger Medium to medium rare. It showed up well-done. Not a drop of pink when cut open. I sent it back. The next burger was the same, not even pink. 3rd times a charm? Not really. It had a little pink. While the server, who was lovely kept apologizing, we assured him it was not his fault, and really a manager should be stopping by at this point.

Then out came Zack. Apparently both manager and Chef, hands on hips, with attitude saying “What can I do for you?” We started to tell him about the burgers, he cut us off, insisting the second burger was a perfect medium, arguing about it when we said it was well-done, became nasty, said I don’t. care I’ll take it off the bill, and turned and walked away with his obnoxious attitude.

Someone needs to explain to Zack what hospitality means. Taking an item off the bill, but doing so with an attitude and being obnoxious to your customers, is not how you handle a situation where the customer did not need to leave feeling compelled to write a poor review. He clearly is not educated in his own field. He should go read “Unreasonable Hospitality”

Great place on Fire Island with fantastic views of the water. The food and drinks were made perfectly! Delicious Hideaway burger and Korean chicken! The Rum Punch was very fitting as the restaurant and bar have an island vibe to them. Will be back again next time I come to Fire Island.

Every food we ate had way too much salt, gave us dirty looks while we were the only ones in their restaurant and way too overpriced. Never again

Had an amazing Lobster dinner at a very reasonable price. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

Expensive, but so is Fire Island generally. The difference is that here, the food is actually very good compared to the mostly-mediocre alternatives on the island.

Visiting from San Francisco. We had ceviche and fish of the day. One of the best seafood places that I have gone to in the US.Ceviche was served with homemade chips. Very delicious. The fish of the day was Black Sea bass prepared with butter, lemon and garlic. Very deliciousThe server was very nice and welcoming.
