first off the service was horrible, we bought a brown bag with important stuff in it and they threw it out with no hesitation we waited for 20 minutes and we still didn’t get a response they didn’t care at all! Then they ever came to take my order and the table was very dirty and disgusting I do not recommend going there.

I never write reviews, ever, esp a bad review, but I feel there is no explanation for the poor quality of Mexican food at Taco Beach Cantina. The food esp the bowls and burritos had no flavor and was so dry. We needed gluten free options so selected a Mexican restaurant. The ground beef and rib meat was so dry and flavorless. Most frustrating was their guacamole. The portion size was not worth $16 and was no better than store brand. You expect a fresh chunky guac with cilantro and nice flavors at a Mexican restaurant. It had a pasty smooth consistency of peanut butter and the chips were stale. The only positives worthy of 2 stars was a decent chicken quesadilla and good portion sizes. We expect to pay more when dining in Fire Island but also should totally enjoy our very expensive meal!

My food was absolutely horrific. The staff was great. However, I ordered three pork tacos and they tasted like cardboard. I’ve genuinely never have any food as horrid as this place. On top of the food tasting like cardboard, the tacos had probably .2 ounces of meat in them. The sauce they ruined my taco with tasted like water. The place was empty and that should’ve been a sign to stay away however, I persistent and I was extremely disappointed. I honestly considered asking for a refund. This food was so disappointing. please walk a few yards down to Matthews because the food is somewhat fairly priced and much better. STAY AWAY!

I would not come to this place if it wasn't for the excellent bar service. It's almost unbearable to be in there because they don't run the AC. I'm surprised people aren't having heat strokes left and right. There's plenty of bars to choose from on fire island, and I'd like this one to be "home" due to the excellent bartenders, but if they can't cool it down inside then my friends and I will have to have fun somewhere else.
