Great food, eat in or take out, always the best quality!
Great bar area!
Great food, great selection of beer and alcohol. The bartenders and servers and friendly and super efficient! Definitely worth trying them out!
Best gastropub in Oceanside
EGP Oceanside was my first gastropub experience, and it absolutely set the bar high. The vibe is effortlessly cool—think vintage newspaper walls, American flag accents, and eye-catching art everywhere. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home.
Every bite was a hit. The French onion dip was rich and full of flavor, packed with onions, cheese, and meat—seriously satisfying. The sweet potato fries were crispy outside, soft inside, and perfectly salted. The sandwich (on a buttery poppy hero) was outstanding. The mac ‘n’ cheese spheres were fantastic, too. They're served with a creamy, slightly sweet white sauce. Nice presentation, and quite tasty.
My friend’s chicken tenders and onion rings were fresh, crispy, and clearly made with top-notch ingredients. Honestly, everything was so good, it’s hard to pick a favorite. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable meal in a fun, welcoming spot. Can’t wait to go back!

Eric and his gang of merry servers always take care of me and my work friends every time we come in.
Changing my review to reflect my most recent experience. I've always had nothing but amazing things to say about this places food, and the prices are high but it always came with the best quality, homemade grub. But last Friday was not what I'm used to.
First off, they did away with the chips and homemade dip app. It's still on the menu but if you order it they give you their homemade spinach/artichoke dip. We (me and my wife) primarily come there because we love those homemade dips and I've even bought them for my home several times. But even though "dips" was on the menu I was told they no longer have it. We were a bit thrown off but we like spinach dip too so we settled for that no problem. Chips were still the same homemade potato chips so we were happy there but just sad about them not carry thing the multiple dips anymore because they were outstanding. Secondly, we were thrown off by the quality of our entrees: the sexy mexy chicken tacos and the chicken bacon ranch tidbits. I'd even say we were offended because of what we got compared to what they're charging. The tacos stated "cajun" but they had NO spice on them whatsoever. Just plain grilled chicken. The tidbits looked like something applebees or any bodega or low-quality diner would serve. Breaded chicken tenders, a slice of bacon on top, and then what looked like a melted pre-packaged slice of American cheese with some ranch on top. I could easily tell the cheese was just one of those plastic wrapped "singles" because when it goes to melt it keeps it's form, i can't be fooled on that. Overall the tidbits were extremely low-efforted. The bread wasnt even toasted and it was a bit hard. So they probably just opened up a hoagie, placed the toppings on it and threw it in the microwave for a minute just for the cheese to melt - a five-minute meal i could do myself.
We spent over $100 on food that we weren't satisfied with and if we wanted to settle for mid-quality we could've gone somewhere cheaper. I hope they don't keep this up or I'll never be back here, which sucks because this was one of my favorite local places.
Kid-friendliness: At least my toddler loved the chicken tenders!

Food is always great here. They have a great selection of craft beer, especially their house beer and other beers from south shore craft brewery, founders, and great lakes brewery and others. If you are looking for some good food to cater a party, come check out their catering menu.

This is the Target brand of gastro pubs. Theres not another one around so yeah, it’s alright. Their beer menu is lack luster and their prices sorta suck. But hey, it’s a gastro pub in Oceanside. That’s good right?
(Advice to management try carrying actual crafts , a stout that’s not Guinness and maybe a sour)

Do yourself a favor and take a pass on this one. The food was awful. The chicken and waffles looked and tasted like they came from Costco. The Juevos Rancheros were devoid of any flavor, and the Smash burger was burnt to a crisp. The bubblehead bartender was too busy doing shots with her boyfriend and his frat sisters while half the bar had empty glasses. Plus, of the 5 tvs, 4 were on the same game, which made no sense. The bill for this lackluster, tasteless, no frills excursion? $240 for 3 people..
