I ordered takeout an we got a couple gyros, grilled chicken wrap and a chicken souvlaki platter. The gyros were delicious and came with a generous amount of lamb, a little too much actually had to take some out in order to close my pita and eat (not a bad thing). The grilled chicken wrap came with fried and was huge my 12yr old son only ate half and was filled but he did complain that it was very very dry. The platter was a large serving as well it came with some pitas and salad and was fair for the cost of $18. Overall the gyros were the best and the service on the phone when ordering was direct not rude but not so friendly and warm and inviting which sets other places apart. The atmosphere inside always reflects on the workers. It was a little down the place looked nice and comfortable for eating but you can always feel an inviting atmosphere from the joy and friendliness of the staff, this place could use more of that and business will be better for sure.

We always enjoy our food at the Gyro bar. You cannot go wrong with the Gyro pita sandwich- AMAZING. The chicken Souvlaki platter (bottom/front in the photo) was really good. The lemon potatoes (also bottom front plate) are delicious. The Lamb/Beef Gyro platter (back plate) is the best lamb/beef gyro meat I’ve ever had. Both are big enough to make two meals out of. The tzatziki and pita is also wonderful. Thick, creamy, and perfect. Craving Greek food? The gyro bar is for you!

Hands down best food in Oceanside! Always consistent, great prices, large portions, clean, and authentic. The owner is so nice and personable. If I order delivery late night I know it will still be fresh and the owner delivers it to me on his way home and refuses tip or gives it to his employees. Go there a few times and you will be treated like family.

Initially I was not happy with my food. The first thing I tasted was the falafel, which although were very tasty inside, they were fried so hard on the outside. The outer crust was just thick and hard. Like they were re-fried too many times. Falafel is what I usually use at all Mediterranean restaurants to measure the rating of the food. But the adjoining hummus was creamy and delicious. And I also got a pita with pork souvlaki which was so good! The pork cooked perfectly and the portion of lettuce, tomato, tzatziki and meat was generous and perfectly balanced. I can’t really judge the atmosphere since I did take out, but it looked like a nice place to eat in. The staff was friendly.

Lamb/beef gyro sandwich was great. 5/5. But their parking lot is a disaster. Crushed my car on those potholes. Have to fix that, before I ever come back. Unreal.

Ordered here today for lunch for our meeting at work. The food came fresh and at the exact time we needed. The gyros were very filling and definitely worth the price. The French fries were delicious . They gave us extra ketchup, white sauce and utensils will definitely order from here again.
