Little place on the water. Tight parking. Very attentive staff. Mediocre bar food. Pasta was undercooked and the chicken was minced. Decent prices on both the food and the drinks. Local joint that is doing their best to pay attention and compete with the larger bar/clubs/restaurants in the area. Worth the effort. Will return.
The band, Tribe, was great. Such nice to just sit have a appetizers and listen to music.
Food service, bar service was awful.I had a hamburger that tasted like fish..didnt eat and they took off check..1 person working tables..was at an outdoor event..not enough umbrellas and some of the ones they had were broke
After Tropix, we decided to get something to eat. I told her about John the new chef at Jesse's. He is a great guy from Milan. We went, dinner was going to be simple. Mussels & wings. John doesn't make things simple. He made the mussels in an amazing wine sauce & the wings in his special sauce. He surprised us with a plate of his Risotto, that was to die for. If you are looking for great food at a very reasonable price, go to Jesse's. You will not be sorry. John is an amazing chef, he stops by every table to talk, & the staff is very friendly & goes the extra mile.
Nice location & excellent music but that's where it stoppedTerrible food. Bartenders & servers only know what beer they sell...but don't get too specific because they are confused by bottle & tap
Good food and good drinks and the service was great! They just need to spruce it up a little.
Food was nothing to write home aboht and service was terrible. They need some more work before a grand reopening can be established. Best part, the beautiful sunset...
WOW the band on June 19, the Second Street Band I believe, was FANTASTIC. The venue should've let them turn up the music louder though, and what was with the guest harmonica player from the bar? The band's harmonica player would've done a much better job on that song.
Great place for a mom & pop style time on the water / bay with great service! Ask for Rachel the server or owner Jessie amazing hosts!
Where to start? Showed up on a post pandemic Saturday night to watch the live band and spend time with my girlfriend and mother. Got there by 8:15 and took the only available outdoor seating within view of the band, at the bar.To be fair, we were warned they were short staffed, so we scanned the QR code we found at the bar and chose our meals. An elderly lady eventually tottered over after 20 minutes of our trying to get someone's attention and failing, only to tell us that the pandemic menu was not scanned and she gave us a printed page which had half of the items, none we'd initially wanted. She highly recommended the Panko sole and the Panko shrimp, which the ladies ordered, while I ordered a ribeye "with two sides". I asked what the available sides were, she said she didn't know but she would find out.Literally 20 minutes later i had to track her down to ask her again, and she admitted not only did she not find out, but she didn't put our orders in. She read off the POS system several options, including corn hash and salad, which are the two I chose and I went back to my seat.A half hour after this, nearly an hour and a half after we entered the bar, the shrimp and ribeye showed up, followed a few minutes later by the sole. My ribeye was indeed medium rare, as I had requested, but the sides that showed up were inexplicably broccoli and mashed potatoes. I ate them anyway, because we were ravenous, but while the sides were nice and garlicky the meat was nearly tasteless. I don't think the chef used even salt and pepper, let alone any sauces or spices. The sole with its side of risotto was quite good, but my girlfriend didn't like the battered shrimp at all.The live music was very good, the weather was perfect (not that they had anything to do with that) and it was nice being on the water. Not buggy or anything, as we had feared. Girlfriend and I were in our 40s and we were easily the youngest ones at the bar, which was sort of a cross between an aging GenX+ LI bar scene and the kind of place you'd bring your sister to low-key celebrate her birthday. I understand they've got some catching up to do post-pandemic but the service was incredibly slow-to-nonexistent (and or order was wrong), the $31 steak was awfully bland, the cabernet was very meh, and only the band and outside setting redeemed this trip. Better luck next time.
