Quality of choices and good food.

I have been to meta few times and each time I had a very good meal in front of me! Service is nice friendly and happy to assist you with choices on their menu. Ambience of this place is in my opinion old school style restaurant. Either you come with jeans and hoodie or nice dress, both ways are fine. Quality of the food and their quantity is more what ppl are going to look into it;) had a good time!

The food was much better than I expected. They were also to have options for people with limited diets, and their servers remember it. The atmosphere was so cute. Plus, we tried something we never did and loved it

Another scrumptious meal at Meta! This warm and welcoming restaurant has a robust menu with classics I have enjoyed over twenty years to new delights. The Bruschetta are classic loaded with flavor. The bruleed pear salad was unbelievably good. Lovely greens and pear set off by great texture from nuts and dressing. Our party enjoyed the half chicken with huge portion of delicious potatoes. We recommend the panini, the caesar salad in frico cup, calamari, peroni battered shrimp. And the arrancini were better than any ive ever had. Warm, attentive service. Plenty of parking.Vegetarian options: I loved bruleed pear salad, bruschetta and arancini tonight. Many other exquisite veggie preparations.

My fiance and I both started out with calamari for an app. One word.. Delicious!!! We both got the short ribs. As usual it was absolutely delicious. We'll be coming back very soon.

Our first visit of the new year and everything was its usual greatness. Delicious dinners and wonderful service. Can't wait for outdoor dining when the weather gets nice. Thank you, Meta.

Meta is our neighborhood go- to for date night and any other occasion. It is always a wonderful experience all around. The staff are friendly and attentive, the menu is full of great dishes with options to suit any dietary need, and we've never been disappointed. We highly recommend Meta.

Meta never disappoints My wife and I eat here frequently and this time we brought another 2 couples They were equally impressed Highly recommend the “bag of doughnuts “ and rice balls appetizers, short ribs or Nana's ragu and you won't have room for dessert

Been living in the area for well over 10 years and have driven by this place countless times. Decided to meet some Long Beach friends who also had never eaten here. Ambience is cozy and cute and staff was nice. Ordered 2 salads (watermelon and pear) that were delicious. Our biggest issue was with ordering and transparency. My friend ordered the chicken parm and asked the waiter if it was a thick piece. The waiter then proceeded to offer that the kitchen would gladly pound the cutlet down. What a nice offer we thought, and we went about our meal. Mind you, we ordered 2 bottles of wine and a dessert (the pistachio tartufo was great), so money wasn't really an object. We were shocked to find out that there was a $3 extra charge for pounding the chicken down. If the waiter would have been transparent, we might have thought otherwise, but he offered like they would do us a favor! Be up front and let the customer make the decision, adding an 'up charge' after we accepted an offer he made is sneaky and it should have been our choice. Besides the salads, the food was okay. Probably won't be rushing back here and sort of a shame being it's a local cute spot.

I live in Freeport and had passed Meta a few times, googled it and decided I wanted a gift card as a Christmas present this year. My wife obliged and last night we went to Meta for the first time. Busy Saturday night but we made reservations and were seated promptly. We ordered the bruleed pear salad and clams oreganata as our appetizers and they were excellent. My main course was pop pop's pasta which came with meatballs with raisins and pine nuts (which was new to me but I'm finding out it's a more traditional way to make authentic, Italian meatballs). It was also excellent and the crème brûlée was our dessert and my wife said it was the best crème brûlée she had ever tried. The drinks were great all night. Our server was polite but not overly enthusiastic. We didn't wait long for any course and really enjoyed our time. We will definitely be back.

Unexpectedly crowded for a Thursday night but we arrived a few minutes early and were promptly seated. Took a while to place our order but food was also served promptly. Food was very good. Short ribs, polenta, risotto, shrimp were very good.

We came to Meta for a birthday celebration. Adam greet us when we were seated and immediately wished my wife a happy birthday. He was very attentive all night, which was very much appreciated. Wasn't even flustered by the 2 year old at the table.
