Nice addition to the neighborhood. The escargot was just ok- just missing something. The frois gras was excellent. The duck was excellent but the wild rice was undercooked. The filet poivre was cooked just right but the sauce was missing something as well. The angus burger was perfect! All the food was prepared very well but the sauces were weak/little flavor. I think if the sauces were improved this place would be magnificent. I would definitely come back again. The martini was very well made too.

Very good french food. I thought it wasn't quite as good as the other french joint in town but still quite tasty and I'll be returning to explore some of the other dishes.

This place was great. We had the prefix menu that was fantastic. Drinks were excellent and service very good. We came back again with friends and they loved it also. A must for people to visit and get a great reasonable priced meal... Dont think because it says french food it really has everything for everybody

We had a great meal at Wayne French Kitchen! We had the filet and chicken francese- both delicious! The price fix was a great amount of food for a reasonable price. The servers were friendly and accommodating. We appreciated the great food and service here! We will be back soon.

Our 1st visit. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, but our expectations were NOT realized. The salmon and tuna were poorly prepared, and definitely NOT fresh. The vegetables had an odd flavor - don't understand how string beans could be so unappealing. My two daughters and I brought home the meals in the hope that my wife could salvage them - which she did rather well.

Went for early brunch on Saturday...only one other table of diners...So service should have been excellent...IT WAS!!!...Now, let's see if it holds up during Saturday dinner time...No reason it shouldn't....As for the food, excellent!!!!...Menu good mix of pure French and Americanized French...Prix Fixe for one of us...Regular menu for another...Wonderful Onion soup...in crock...Sweet very oniony full bodied broth with large crouton and perfectly melted and caramelized crusted cheese...Mains of Avocado toast said to be extremely fresh, tasty, plate nicely prepared...Other plate Norwegian Benedict (Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon)...only thing to say was that the entire plate from prep to plating to freshness to taste was exceptional...Prices not crazy...Money's worth??... Definitely!!!...Was, at first, sceptical about a French Kitchen named Wayne...no longer!!!!!

Where to start..place is lovely, but it was playing country music which would be fine if it wasn't called "french", just weird! Had mussel appetizer, chicken franchaise bf had shrimp and scallop risotto. Food was ok nothing bad but far from great. Place was EMPTY 4 tables at 8 p.m. on a Saturday evening. Service was pleasant but pretty inattentive, didnt ask if we needed more drinks, checked on the meal after we were done eating. Not sure if they will make it. Karoeke was starting when we were leaving , we didnt stay..

We've eaten here three times. After our first time, we felt comfortable to bring friends. On our most recent visit, this past Friday, we arrived in time for the early bird special. I figured the early birds would be smaller sized portions. I was happily wrong. The food and service were really good. As an added bonus, live music. We'll be back.

Had seared scallops that were so good. My husband had the mussels which were also good. Drinks were very good had a nice French martini. Had scallop and shrimp risotto yummy. My son had the steak excellent. My husbands salmon was great and my daughter in law said ravioli was also good.. People friendly and very accommodating This place was great..definitely coming back.

A beautiful restaurant in Oceanside that serves delicious food and has an amazing service staff. We stopped in for a weekend brunch and enjoyed a beet salad, avocado toast, and burger. The drink menu is amongst the finest we have seen, from mixed drinks to beers to great wines for pairing. There is a party room for private parties, and the main room has comfortable seating. Live music is presented check their schedule. We look forward to returning for their dinner menu soon.

Excellent food, superb service and perfect ambiance for a delicious weekend brunch! One of our top favorites in Oceanside! Kudos to Jen and her outstanding crew at Wayne's. Looking forward to coming back often with family and friends.

Top quality food, reasonable prices and very good service, hard to find on the South Shore. Went to Wayne's French Kitchen for 1st time Sat night. Greeted by a welcoming staff and manager. Table had seared scallops (NOT rubbery, cooked perfectly and tasty), goat cheese (a hunk of) and beet salad, duck (moist and flavorful), filet mignon au poive (tender, good taste, au poive sauce was good, but needed more peppercorns - I'm nitpicking here), roasted free range chix (was cooked perfectly and not dry), creme brulee (simple and well executed) and blueberry crumb cake, all GREAT! We are all foodies and were impressed by the food. Chef/Owner Wen came out (at our request) so we can complement him on his food. He was very appreciative. Hard to believe this is such a sleeper, we will be going back.

We just came here tonight although it first opened at Christmas a year or so ago. It was wonderful, great service, great music, great food. I had beet salad and shrimp/scallop risotto. My husband had caesar salad and bar steak with pomme frittes. Good wine, gellato for dessert. Our waitress never vanished or forgot that we were there, it's great to have a nice place like that right in town, since we lost Mio Posto to Long Beach.
