We visited Olcott today and were really hungry at 2pm. It wasn't too busy at this place - but it seemed to take an extremely long time for everything. We ordered clam strips and garlic bread as appetizers. I also ordered a diet Coke which took 15 mins to come and was flat. I didn't ask for a replacement as I figured if this was flat everything else would be too and it took long enough to get this drink. It took 30 mins for the clam strips to come and the server said the garlic bread was still under the broiler. I'm surprised it didn't burn as it took about 10 more mins to come out. It looked like a deli sandwich roll with a slice of cheese on it. Thankfully our meal came shortly after. My husband's burger looked blah, large even patty that was not grilled at all, looked like it was baked in an oven from frozen, no seasoning. I got the chicken and biscuits. Hardly any chicken and the little biscuit had fallen apart under the mountain of gravy and pile of corn. We hadn't eaten all day so we ate it because we were starving. Nothing had any seasoning on it. Not worth waiting all that time. I would never go back.

Was not busy. Short staffed. 2.5 waitresses-1 doubled as bartender Those 3 did the best they could. . Waited over an hour for our food. Steak ordered medium and gave new meaning to raw. Salmon was bland and like sawdust, horseradish sauce was like water. Salad was good. Checking this place off the list.

Stopped in to have a drink. Sat at the bar for 20 minures. No service but for a drunk man going into the kitchen to tell the bartender we were there. Still ghosted. Left still thirsty. Place smells like mildew. 🤮

Table clothes were filthy at each table and smelled horrible in there.

Dined here for Mother’s Day. Let’s see what to have? I choose the sumptuous buffet. It started with shrimp salad with ice underneath. Then on to pancakes, bacon and sausage. I skipped cheese potatoes and frittata. Watermelon bowl of fruit so fresh-amazing. Next ham & ?? Forgot lol. Then beef, homemade - not salty , tater tots . Next my favorite turkey, homemade gravy , squash, Oh little croissant crab sandwiches, deviled eggs. Sure glad I looked it all over ahead of time as one could hardly sample everything here! Thought I was done, turned around to see cookies, mini muffins, Strudels in various flavors then mini cupcakes, and regular cookies in many kinds, oatmeal raisin, peanut, chocolate chip. Plus all the things I forgot. I was stuffed when I left. Only $30 bet I ate a whole turkey dinner putting breakfast and lunch aside as well as dessert. So worth it!! But wait when I first came in we were asked menu or buffet. We looked over buffet and then found there was prime rib king or queen, cut and then the chicken and biscuits and gravy!!! Now what??? I decided buffet Then because I love good food I asked for chicken & biscuit with gray To Go!! Sat down to enjoy all my choices.,0h my enough food for a family. My daughter was in same boat - way to much. We tried a lot but I have to say everything was delicious!!! Sunday was out of this world , I can only guess chicken and biscuits will be too. Well we have eaten here before. They have spaghetti- so good, seafood of all kinds, salads- you name it, they may have it. So nice eating outside when it’s a little warmer. So be sure to try this nice restaurant across from the park. You’ll be happy you did!! Open Fri, Sat, and Sunday. Call to see about Thursday. They told us ;but now not sure. Olcutt is a great place to visit, enjoy the park. Little shops, ice cream beautiful Lake Ontario and what a sunset. Weekends are best. I had a wonderful Mother’s Day!!❤️💐Thanks to my beautiful daughter who surprised me!!

Always a pleasant experience. The food is always prepared to perfection. The entire staff is very friendly and professional. The menu is a mixture of lite for just a snack at the fully stocked bar, to full course dinners. You can choose where you want to eat, sit at the bar, sit by the fireplace in the bar area, sit in the
wonderfully nautical decor of the dining room or weather permitting you can sit outside underneath the deck or up top with a fantastic view of the park and lake.
Mariners Landing is just a totally wonderful experience.

So we tried to bring our family from out of town for days today. Surprise. Private party not on website ?

So, we read other reviews that mentioned the "slooow" service, but we decided to give it a try.
Bad choice - we waited a full hour for our entres (after our salads were served).
Two patrons at the bar that came in about a half an hour after us were served in about 10-15 minutes. A party of 10 that was seated after us were served first (this was confirmed by the staff).
Lesson learned? If you're not a regular, expect second rate service.
I will say the food was above average and I liked the ambiance - a throwback to a more elegant but faded seafood/steakhouse.
