“My very dear friend Lisa took me for my “Birthday Celebration” I chose to go to Valentine’s on The Lake. It was my first time eating here. Everything exceeded my expectations. The food, the atmosphere, and the owners Cheryl and John were all wonderful.This place is definitely down to earth and it’s comfy cozy. My kind of place. “Our hostess/bartender/waitress, Mary, was all that anyone could ask for. She was kind, attentive (but not smothering), and knowledgeable about the menu, the village, and the idiosyncrasies of the building. Our food came quickly and was top-notch bar food. Seasoned curly fries and a burger for me and a wrap for my companion were flavorful without being too salty or soggy. 5/5 will visit again when I choose the Lake road home from Buffalo/Niagara Falls.”

“Wilson Brew Co. is a must stop! My wife and I just absolutely loved the small town family run business feeling. My wife says the coffee is phenomenal (I’m not a coffee drinker, the hot chocolate is pretty good). The bagels…. absolutely delicious! So many flavors to choose from, they are all homemade, and they have a long list of cream cheese “Schmearz” to put on top and if you are someone who is worried about not having enough cream cheese on top, then this is definitely the place for you! They pile the cream cheese on and it’s just so delicious!!! My wife and I both said this is definitely a place we have to make it back to!”

It’s a cozy and welcoming place and definitely worth trying if you’re in the area.One thing I discovered is that the area the Airbnb was in did not have many food options around it so finding The Brookside was a wonderful sight to see!”

“Very comfortable spot with great wine and pleasant staff. The property is pretty and just across the street from Lake Ontario. We tried a few tastings and enjoyed many of their varieties… especially their semi-sweet gewürztraminer, Calica, D’Astra, Chocolate Obsession, and Butterscotch Sherry. They also have fantastic chocolates that go so well with wine! We look forward to going back during warmer weather to enjoy the outdoor seating!”

“5 stars all the way around!!!! I love their food, the atmosphere is always GREAT and this is the BEST place to call if u need dinner in a hurry but don't feel like cooking!! Family owned and operated and pushing out Italian food like it's their business!!! I love this place!!Parking: There's tons of space to park in their lot but if u came n needed extra space there's two empty lots on either side of this business and it's right behind the firehall which also offers tons of free parking.Kid-friendliness: This place is sooooo kid friendly even offering kids pizzas they can decide what they want on it and they get to watch them make it!! It doesn't get better than that!! This is one of my favorite places to take the kids out to eat!!”

“If you are looking for sweet wine options, you must visit Honeymoon Trail Winery! They offer a multitude of options, many of which are award winning. This Niagara Wine Trail stop is quaint and cozy. It could benefit from a little refreshing and updating. They have a cute retail store with gift options located upfront along with a tasting room in the back. They offer a pretzel and cheese spread tasting. This was a bit disappointing. The cheese spreads are really tasty, but the delivery is very awkward. Someone comes by and brings you individual tiny stale pretzel sticks dipped in a little cheese spread. They are brought out one by one, wearing big rubber gloves. The gloves are appreciated for sanitation, but their presentation in this way really cheapened the experience. It would be much nicer to have a tiny bowl of pretzels along with the spread at the table, allowing us to handle them ourselves. It would no doubt increase their cheese spread sales! They also offer wine slushies, which were very enjoyable. A few improvements could really transform the experience.”

“I stopped up here yesterday morning to have some breakfast with my boyfriend. This place had a huge two-page menu. I had coffee and I think he had water. The service was great!!! The restaurant is cozy but nice. I had ordered Belgian waffles. I added on a side of hash browns and cinnamon toast. Everything was great! My boyfriend had biscuits and gravy. He enjoyed his meal too. This diner accepts cash and cards. This restaurant is up in Newfane. If I'm ever up this way again, or I have the morning free, I'll definitely be back!”

“This is a great spot for your summer time blues. The live music on the weekends along with the great people, sunset doesn't disappoint. If you ride and are in the area it's a must stop. They have motorcycle parking away from the other vehicles.”

“I have wanted to try CHOPS Pizza for a while since a friend told me how good it is. My friend picked up a pizza and brought it to my house for our supper. They did a great job of making two different sides. The sweet sauce was not too sweet. Perhaps the pizza could have used a little more sauce, but overall it was tasty. I definitely want to try more varieties of CHOPS pizzas.”

“I went here last Thursday for dinner with a group of friends. We sat in the back patio it was so nice out!!!!! It wasn't hot. I got the clubhouse Turkey on wrap. It was so good! Two people got one of their salads which were HUGE. Someone else got the thunder chicken which I was looking at on the menu too. They said it was good. The only thing I would change is the service. It was so SLOW! As much as the food is good I wouldn't come here if you are in a hurry. Overall, I would be back.”
