A perfect summer meal in a gorgeous garden - when we arrived we discovered their daily menu had few vegetarian options so we asked if the chef could make some simple grilled vegetable and instead he made 7 exquisite, world class veggie dishes - our server told us he took it as in inspiring challenge. while the beef and shellfish dishes enjoyed by half the table were perfectly executed (in facvt, the clam broth made we swoon in joy) the vegetarians were the winners (and graciously shared their summer bounty with the whole table)

This place has been GREAT every time I have come. Truly delicious food, comfortable and well spaced seating, nice balance of dining space, cafe and mercantile. Dinner menu was sophisticated and interesting, the lunch fare also outstanding - probably the best BLT I have ever eaten, delicious French onion soup, generous salads, perfect fries. I am a huge fan - wish I lived closer.
What a hidden gem!!! Superb food, friendly service, cute storefront and comfortable indoor or garden seating. We stopped here on a roadtrip because we needed somewhere to take a break with our kids. Hands down, the BEST sandwiches we have ever had in our lives, simple recipes done exactly right, and also the best French fries we have had in years (?!?!). The indoor seating area is spacious and comfortable - it was a gorgeous day so we opted for outdoor seating, and we loved the fenced garden area where our daughter could safely play while we ate. We couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. This is worth a stop, and perhaps even worth a major detour.
Thank you to Carolyn and her staff for preparing a beautiful afternoon luncheon for a celebration of my husband Herbert’s life at the store that he loved. Carolyn’s presentation was worthy of a spread in Martha Stewart’s magazine. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. The store is beautifully renovated and Carolyn and her staff were gracious and wonderful to work with.
Great dinner experience for our family of five. Everything was delicious, lovely atmosphere, all staff were exceptionally kind and pleasant. Highly recommend!
Chatham is a beautiful quaint NY town and this store reflects its feeling. Just next to a post office, there is seating outside and indoor. Deli pre packed and food to be prepared on-site that is delicious including muffins, sandwiches soups and small dishes. I love the seating in the back which is classic American rustic. Everything is so clean and there was even cards and gifts available. Would definitely want to come here again with my children. Great Cafe and breakfast/lunch stop.

Delicious fresh food and a great wine selection in a casual historic cafe. Well worth the visit!
What a delightful cafe! Fresh airy ambience!
The food is wonderful! I especially loved the meatloaf sandwich and the cinnamon toast! The turkey club and the brisket sandwich were so good! Each of the baked goods we have tried is more delicious than the last- the shortbread melts in your mouth, the chocolate chip cookies divine and the blackberry cream cheese handpies were beyond delicious! A favorite Sunday afternoon spot!
Great cycling rest point. Great coffee and snacks to stay and go. Rotating dinner menu and friendly crowd. Can’t be missed!
All scratch kitchen with familiar and unique flavors. Gourmand pantry product selection for your home, great frozen meals made in house at a good price. Try the Gluten-Free Maple Crème cookies from the pastry case, you will not be disappointed they are sooo good! I am unsure what the cookie base is but it appears to include chia and flax seed so you can feel a little less guilty about the dessert ;)
Excellent food, served with warmth and good spirits in a calm, inviting space. Couldn’t get much better!
