Breakfast was great, pancakes were delicious and big, place was kind of full for only 2 employees but staff were very polite and doing their best to accommodate every one, a liitle bit of a wait but very understandable. Will definitely recommend this place.

We had a wonderful experience breakfast restaurant from start to finish. greeted and sat quickly followed by prompt service by our kind waitress. The menu was quite extensive with many choices for all ages. The food came quickly and lots of coffee refills in between. The manager even came out to make sure all was good. Highly recommend. We will be back when we are in old forge

A recent visit to this charming pancake restaurant nestled in the heart of Old Forge, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Kathy at 72 who smiled the whole time and you could tell she still loves her job. The food was fantastic—perfectly fluffy pancakes with just the right amount of sweetness and a variety of delicious toppings to choose from.
The restaurant has a cozy, nostalgic vibe that really added to the experience. It felt like stepping back in time to a simpler era, where good food and friendly faces are all you need to start the day. I highly recommend stopping by if you're ever in town—it's a true gem!
You couldn’t ask for better service, great food or a family friendly environment. Had a great time and a wonderful waitress - she’s still working at 70+ and keeping everyone with their food and hot coffee.
Kid-friendliness: The space between tables would easily families to enjoy their children without feeling too close to the next table
Are waitress was amazing! The food was meh... In terms of the Old Forge experience, you should definitely go to check it off your list because it is an Adirondack institution.

Our order was taken after the server went to the restroom (I totally understand having to use the bathroom! I worked in food service for years) After our order was taken, we waited about 30 minutes and had not even received our drinks. Our server was doing something else related to a different check, but to not even get out drinks is unacceptable after 30 minutes.
Finally, we call over another server and she goes to check on our drinks and food. She tells us that our drinks and food have not been rung in. We tell her we want to leave and finally our server comes over.
There is no apology for the literal 30 minute delay in just getting our beverages or not ringing in our food. We were told that for the last 30 minutes our server was dealing with an issue. This didn’t seem to be true, because we heard her and watched her making small talk with other tables.
We told our server we wanted to cancel our order because we’d been waiting so long and we had to drive, and still no apology or acknowledgment of her ignoring us.
We will not be returning.
