Olean, NY's favorite steakhouse.. We were at the casino about 30 minutes down the road and we wanted a good steak for our anniversary and I didn't want to pay the crazy prices at the steak restaurant in the casino.. The two brothers that run the family restaurant are pretty awesome!! The food was delicious and we got free desserts because it was our anniversary! The porterhouse steak was huge it took me 4 meals to finally finish it off. The dessert took it over the top!!...
It was okay, food wasn’t as good as I thought. If you have celiacs you can’t eat anything besides steak or salad. You cannot ordered alcohol outside you have to go inside to get it.
Beautiful oak woodwork and decor make for a warm, inviting setting to have a great meal. The French onion soup was wonderful! The beef on weck was a different style than expected but might appeal more to some diners. Instead of thinly sliced beef in au jus on the kimmelweck (salt) roll, here they served a mountain of sliced beef on the weck roll but without the extra juice, making for a hearty but a bit dry meal.
