Beautiful oak woodwork and decor make for a warm, inviting setting to have a great meal. The French onion soup was wonderful! The beef on weck was a different style than expected but might appeal more to some diners. Instead of thinly sliced beef in au jus on the kimmelweck (salt) roll, here they served a mountain of sliced beef on the weck roll but without the extra juice, making for a hearty but a bit dry meal.
WE had the beef and kummelwick sandwich and a wedge salad. They were both AMAZING!! The blue cheese dressing was so good!! Our parents had the parmasian haddock and the broccoli cheddar soup. We shared a piece of the carrot cake for dessert. I’d come back here in a heart beat!! The beef was to die for!!!! Loved this meal so much!!!

Every time I would visit my dad, the family would go to Beef and Barrel. He passed away in 2023. This place holds so many great memories with him. If I come to the area, I order what he would have and my husband, kids and I talk about my dad! Beef and Barrel is forever part of my family’s life.
