“My wife grew up in Olean, but she had not been back in almost 30 years. I’ve heard so many stories about how great the beef was, so when we visited Olean this past week, I knew that Beef’ N Barrel would be our first stop.

The experience was better than I had expected. What a great atmosphere. You could tell that this was a popular restaurant for locals, but an out of towner like myself was made to feel welcome. Our server was so friendly. One of the owners, PJ, went out of his way to make our dining experience outstanding.

Let’s get to the food. We had pickle chips for an appetizer. They were really good. The breading was a little thicker than some other pickle chips I’ve had. Main course was the beef on weck. The beef almost melted in my mouth. It was so good. PJ comped our dessert, so we ordered chocolate mud pie and strawberry shortcake ala mode, which was the weekly special. Fantastic.

We were in Olean for three days. There are plenty of places to eat, but we decided to go back to Beef’ N Barrel a second time before leaving town. It’s that good! The second time was just as good as our first visit.”

Let me tell you the amazing food but the service was over the top!!!! the server listen to all our special needs having 3 hot hungry kids who don't like the same thing but all wanted taco pizza!!!! they took the time kept all the toppings on sides!! our cups never went dry!!!! the chicken wing pizza was amazing never had it before w celery on top. the cheese bread has to be the best around!!!! we will be ordering from here again very soon now that we tried it!!!”

“I started coming here for subs about a month ago. first sub I ordered was a chicken finger, my son got there veggie pita. absolutely amazing service. The front counter employees make you feel so comfortable and welcome. 2nd time we came was a week later because pregnancy cravings.. and I got a hot stinger sub. absolutely delicious. everyone was so kind courteous and attentive. we will forever be regulars. your so appreciates ❤️🫶❤️”

“We are very impressed with not only the bread we purchased, but the customer service!
One of my three loaves contained some mold...the owner himself called me and said a new loaf will be immediately shipped. He explained how/why this occasionally happens. The cinnamon bread makes outstanding French toast. Our entire family loved it. We first were served this at a restaurant and asked where they purchased their bread”

“This is a fun place to do karaoke and the food is excellent and the bar staff is always so wonderful! Its a small little bar where you can just stop and have a good bite to eat and drink anytime!”

“I stopped there for lunch yesterday. I had the Rodeo Burger. It was the best burger I have ever had! 1/2 pound burger topped with two golden onion rings, sauce, and home made mesquite potato chips on the side. If you are looking for a great meal, check them out.”

“I just wanted to say thank you to the employees at Subway tonight near Walmart. My daughter and I had plans to go to Applebee's but unfortunately this mama was tired, my daughter was very tired, and we just didn't want to wait. Decided to grab Subway instead. Each time these employees got done cleaning up, another customer walked in. You could tell they were tired but not a single one of them complained or had an attitude. To the younger girl that was working tonight, thank you. Thank you for allowing my daughter to be herself in the resultant without any issue, complaint or judgement. What you don't know is that my daughter has exceptionalities and you letting her be her true free self meant everything to this tired mama who may or may not have just dealt with a 25 minute overstimulated "meltdown." “I worked late tonight and stopped at bk to get somthing easy for dinner... I didnt expect much considering it was 30 minutes before they closed, I figured cold, old food. I was really surprised on how hot and fresh it was. The new steakhouse burger is very good. The fries were hot. Cant ask for better out of the place.”

“Was so good! We decided to come back today after eating here yesterday. Both days meals were absolutely divine, pancakes are the fluffiest I've ever had. Lattes were extremely good too. “A group of us were craving pizza and decided this would be a good stop. Pizza Hut didn't disappoint. We all bought from the bar and were pleased. The pizza was fresh and there were several choices available. I thought the salad bar was a thing of the past since COVID but they have one with a lot of choices for a small salad. Our server was very friendly and provided is with all of our needs. I would definitely return.”

“Reason for the 4 stars. Is that when ever I pay with my debit card here. A couple weeks after I have to order a new card, because I get charges on my card that I didn't do. Not saying they are doing anything wrong here. But just doesn't seem right”
