“Very long line on Labor day because it was smoking hot out. The staff worked so hard and were still very pleasant. Also, blueberry cheesecake icecream is delicious and my husband liked the grape soft serve.”

“We drive more than an hour from Chautauqua Lake a few times a year for the oasis of ambiance at Sprague's. It's located outside of Portville, between no where and no where. Beautiful setting and huge well appointed dining room. The wait staff swooshes around the massive dining room in a true precision dance of elevated service delivery. I had the old standby of turkey dinner with all the fixings. The late and locally famous Grandma Sprague on the turkey farm that proceeded the multi decades old restaurant would be proud. Our friends had breakfast with the included enormous tasty maple sausage. My better half went with the Rueben which she raved about. I love the mini maple muffins included in the bread basket. (Sold by the dozen at the register). Another five star visit.”

“I witnessed a situation while I was there on Sunday and the staff handled it very well despite being berated. The woman claimed “do you see what truck i drove here with? Do you think I can’t afford to pay my bill?” because apparently the atm wasn’t working. I used it before and after said customer tried because I didn’t withdrawal enough the first time and decided to grab to-go shakes! I would assume the issue was that it might not work with credit cards, so if you’re planning to eat on credit, keep that in mind. Luckily there is a bank 327.8 yards away from reds and Trudy’s if their atm ever did stop working. It’s been a cash only business since it opened decades ago. And the prices reflect that! So affordable. Also I’ve never once had an issue with their food quality. In fact, I went back again today because it was so good on Sunday! I only came on here because the customer seemed like they’d be the type to give a bad review, and alas… I was correct. So I’m giving my two cents after a wonderful meal again today. Waitress was fast, attentive, and kind. Food was high quality and customer service was great! My card withdrew money just fine and I’ll be back again! Ps: try their broccoli and cheese soup.”

“I've been visiting Hi-Hos my entire life. Although I left Western New York 20+ years ago, I always make an effort to visit Hi-Hos when I'm in town if it's open. It's a no-thrills, family friendly ice creamery in Olean's Eastside. I have so many fond memories of spending summer evenings here with family and friends. And although the physical appearance has changed (it used to be pink), everything else has stayed the same. It still has the same wonderful charm, lots of sitting areas, and great, affordable ice cream. Highly recommended!”

“We were recently in Olean on 10/23/23, visiting from Greensburg PA, and decided to stop at the brewery to celebrate our anniversary and have a beer. Although the place was closed, the owner was around and let us in without a thought. He was absolutely amazing and incredibly kind, and took time out of his day to have conversation with us. He and the place was very welcoming and the beer was fantastic. We highly recommend this place, and will definitely be back!”

“Fusion is one of our favorite places to eat in Olean/Allegany or anywhere! It was the obvious choice for our wedding caterer. Aaron and Mary were so helpful in the planning process and made our ideal menu a reality. It was a very low stress process leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day. They were so considerate of my allergies and guest allergies. They accommodated our no frills, state park venue. They made a beautiful presentation and the food was delicious as always. I’m so glad that Fusion could be part of our day! Highly recommend for your catering needs!”

“Bartender was very helpful when our large group came in from riding. We all ordered food and it came out in a reasonable amount of time. The inside bar is off limits to those under 18 due to smoking but that's ok. We sat outside and enjoyed our time there.”

A little cramped if it gets busy but call in and order ahead and that saves all the trouble.Parking: The shop is on the corner of a unit of buildings and it’s easy to spot, the location is just on a fairly popular part of the street so street parking varies.”

“The food here is always amazing. You can see right into the kitchen so you know it is clean. The workers always seem to be having a great time and they are always friendly. Tons of meat and toppings on the subs and wraps. Wings were crispy and had great flavor. We have a camp about 25 minutes away in Shinglehouse PA and it is worth the trip everytime.”

Great flavor in the coleslaw good balance of acidity. Petal sauce was perfect. Waitress was super friendly and service was very quick…only took about 10-15 mins after ordering for food to be served. Highly recommend.”
