My wife grew up in Olean, but she had not been back in almost 30 years. I’ve heard so many stories about how great the beef was, so when we visited Olean this past week, I knew that Beef’ N Barrel would be our first stop.

Usually one of the best places to go around, and I still believe it is. We had to send one dish back for being cold, and the others weren't too hot. Refills on iced tea tasted like water. All issues were promptly addressed and taken care of, and this had been the first time in years ever had any remote problems. The food tasted great as always does,always get a good meal. For the area I would give them 5 stars. Will be back no question.
Absolutely wonderful lunch. From the minute we walked in, happy, friendly greeting to our server, Angela(?) we had a great time. The beef was off the charts delicious!!!!

Beef-N-Barrel is a must-visit restaurant in Olean, Olean, NY's favorite steakhouse. With outstanding customer service, huge portions, and expertly prepared meals like the beef and cheese melt or filet, it's no wonder this place is so popular. The atmosphere is excellent, and the staff is fantastic, making every visit enjoyable. The porterhouse steak was huge, taking four meals to finish. The roast beef sandwich smothered in beef gravy with a side of German potato salad or the beef on weck are also popular. The French onion soup was wonderful. Beautiful oak woodwork and decor make for a warm, inviting setting. Just be prepared for a potential wait, as they don't take reservations, especially on busy weekends. Get there about 5pm if you wait until 6pm the line could be down the street. Margaritas were good too. Don't miss out on this fantastic dining experience!
