I should keep this place a secret!
If you’re looking for the real deal, look no further than Andre’s Blue Ribbon BBQ. This is a true mom-and-pop gem where the food speaks for itself and so does Andre. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and stories that could only come from someone who’s been doing this for decades.
Andre’s philosophy is simple: good BBQ stands on its own and doesn’t need sauce but he has it and it's made in house if you need it. Sold! He’s been at it for over 20 years, carrying on family recipes from the Carolinas, and you can taste the legacy in every bite.
We ordered the brisket, pulled pork, and spare ribs with sides of cowboy pinto beans, baked sweet potato, and coleslaw. Every item was top notch, but the brisket stole the show, juicy, tender, and with a melt-in-your-mouth fat cap that’s simply unforgettable. Best I’ve ever had, hands down.
The place isn’t fancy, but that’s part of the charm. It’s exactly what you want from a BBQ spot a bit rough around the edges, filled with stories, and soul. Before we left, Andre gave us a tour of his smoker and even dropped a few brisket secrets (which I’m keeping to myself).
This is the kind of place you tell your friends about. You will find no frills or anything fancy about this place, just let his food do the talking,
This is the good stuff. Dry rub, sides are made in house, nothing fried. The brisket is my fav!
Excellent food all smoked on site
A nice little hidden gem. Food was great and owners are clearly very passionate about what they’re doing. We will be back!
Delicious food, owner was so nice and took time and talked to us about their story. Very passionate.
The barbecue is the best around! Very friendly, and personable owners, they make you feel at home. If you want to try a great place, this is it! Would highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed!
Driving through the area and found this amazing little spot. Great prices, good servings sizes, and all food was wonderfully done. The owners were extremely caring and personable. Highly recommended this spot!

11/10 BBQ. Probably the best I’ve ever had in my life. So flavorful and melted off the bone. Didn’t need the sauces at all but those were delicious as well - that vinegar sauce was too good. Patrick was lovely to talk to and great service overall.

I'm in the area for Cooperstown dream park. It's pouring, this place was definitely worth the drenching for my takeout. I had bbq the previous two days at larger scale restaurants. They both fail in comparison to this joint. Ok this place is small, all the better, they keep it fresh! The decor is not fancy, they keep it simple, and it stands out in their bbq, their sauces are good too, but honestly the meat was so moist you don't need the sauces. I had the two meats plate pulled pork and beef brisket with slaw and cornbread. It was all slamming good. If you drive by this joint it's your loss. Sorry no photos, my appetite wouldn't allow me to pause on the bbq.

We had just arrived from Rockledge, Fl with tired & exhausted family of 8. It was 10 after 8 when we stopped at the first pizza restaurant & they were already closed so we headed towards town & saw the doors opened here so we stopped. They said they would stay open to serve us to go orders. & boy we are still talking about how Big the portions, amazing everything, delicious flavor
& great prices for a home amoked meat dinner. Thanks again!
Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetables to chose from.
Kid-friendliness: No chicken nuggets! But our 18 mo old & 4 others age 6-14 loved the bbq!

Meat is full of flavor, the smoky goodness doesn't need to hide in BBQ sauce. The service was friendly and attentive. Great conversation while we were there. You can tell they are passionate about their food and they appreciated us letting them know how great it is. The service is provided by the people actually cooking the food. The booths were relocated from another favorite diner on the other side of Oneonta, but could be spaced a bit further apart for us voluptuous ladies. It's not a big or fancy place, but the characters in it and the amazing food made it a great time
Parking: Limited parking, but you could park behind the staff vehicles along the back. Currently the business across the street with a large lot moved.
