The restaurant was severely understaffed—only a couple of employees trying to handle everything, from seating to serving. It took nearly 30 minutes just to get our drinks, and over an hour for our food to arrive. The server was clearly overwhelmed, but the lack of support from management was obvious.

What really pushed this into 1-star territory was the cross-contamination issue. I didn’t even mention a specific allergy, but the food came out clearly contaminated with ingredients from other dishes—for example, my supposedly plain grilled chicken had cheese and sauce on it, and there were pieces of other food on the plate that didn’t belong there. That’s just sloppy and careless food handling.

Even if I did have a serious allergy, this kind of cross-contact could have been dangerous. It shows a total lack of attention in the kitchen and zero awareness of safe food prep.

Between the long wait, confused service, and contaminated food, this was easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Won’t be coming back.

Didn’t mention my allergy because I ordered something that should’ve been safe — no reason it should contain the allergen. Still had a reaction, which means there was clear cross-contamination in the kitchen.

Add to that: the place was understaffed, service was all over the place, and food came out sloppy. It’s obvious they don’t follow proper food safety practices.

I had a terrible experience at this Applebee’s. The restaurant was clearly short-staffed, and it showed in the rushed service and lack of attention to detail. I let them know about my allergy, but my food still came into contact with something I’m allergic to.

Within minutes, I had a reaction and had to leave immediately. This kind of mistake is unacceptable—especially when someone’s health is on the line. It’s clear the staff isn’t properly trained to handle allergy-related requests or prevent cross-contamination.

This visit left me feeling shaken and completely let down. I won’t be back, and I hope they take this as a wake-up call to improve safety and staffing.

This Applebee’s was clearly understaffed, which resulted in long wait times and visibly overwhelmed employees. But the real issue was the lack of care around food allergies. I clearly informed the server about my food allergy, yet my meal was cross-contaminated, leading to a serious allergic reaction.

Whether it was a failure in communication or food handling, this could have been life-threatening. I expect a national chain to have better training and protocols in place to protect customers with dietary restrictions.

I won’t be returning, and I would strongly caution anyone with allergies to think twice before eating here.

Made a stop here after going to the zoo nearby. Our waitress, Brittany, was terrific! She was right on top of everything with the service. The food was great, and if we are ever back in the area, we will stop by again.

Like all older chains the floors need replacement.

Aug 18, 25-Server, Nicole Excellent as usual. Actually all servers and food have been VG in our many trips here. Great people like these bring customers like us back often. I sure hope they are paid more than just average because they are worth much more

I guess u can't go wrong with Applebee's. Service and food is consistent and reliable. Although, I wish the fries were more generous portions. Their meal pairing specials is a great value !

My family and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Applebees and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Coupled with Courtney’s exceptional service it made our dinner truly memorable. It is not often you meet a team that truly works together. Courtney had lots of tables but she never looked overwhelmed! She answered all our questions, making great suggestions and helping us to navigate food allergies. She never once treated us like we needed to rush. She has such a wonderful presence about her ! She made her job which seemed crazy look like it was a breeze. Effortlessly holding conversations with each table while balancing drinks and food in her hands. It was has such a wonderful experience. Dinner was perfect. Our cups never empty and we left with lots of information on the area. We can’t wait to come see her again.

Our waitress Jessica was awsum me and my bestie got the 2 for $25 meal which was Delicious. I had the chicken and shrimp, and my bestie had chicken Marcella I think is what it was called. Well worth going here. Especially we just had a bad experience at a BBQ buffet close by. The manager said goodbye to us when we left and held the door. Didn't catch his name but a lovely man.
