I miss the old Brooks, but the buffet they have now is excellent. They have rall chefs making great dishes, so it's not a cisco buffet. We frequently order just the buffet and skip the meat because it's a great value and the buffet always includes great meat dishes, drinks, and desert. I've had both the brisket chili, and the chicken chili. They also have real mashed potatoes and gravy, and they make great meat dishes, no doubt out of the previous days, left overs. Everything here tastes like mom and grandma put their heads together and created a family feast!
If you add meat to the menu, the price certainly goes up considerably. However, the brisket is ? ? ? ? ?!
Kid-friendliness: My daughter loves mac & cheese, rater tots, rolls, making her own drink concoction, and of course the ice cream bar with butterscotch pudding and sprinkles.
If you skip the meat, the price is

Brooks used to be a favorite destination. Since Covid and the changes to their food services I am less likely to visit often. The food was decent and you do get a decent amount of food for the price you pay. The buffet style after you order your meat choice was a 3 out of 5. The meat was a 5 out of 5. I went earlier in the evening to miss the crowds but by the time 5pm hit the place was too crowded to move around and weave between tables to get seated again. Staff were pleasant but did not interact with you like a typical restaurant due to the buffet style they now use. Definitely worth a visit.

They switched to expensive buffet style. Beans were not good. Brisket was half fat but tasted ok. Been to brooks many times, I don't think I will go out of our way again.

Food was great however the Google price report was off it was 27$ for a basic 1/2 chicken meal which was a bit high imo
I went thinking 10 -20 sounds good for a dinner
And was let down by the price point
We chose Brooks’ for my daughter’s wedding reception. We knew the food would be exceptional and our guests would love it. It was held in their log cabin called The Roost. It was a great rustic venue!
We chose one of the buffet packages but we had 2 wait staff (Missy and Skylar) who were excellent. They consistently checked with me, the bride and groom and our guests.
Missy worked with our DJ to ensure all the various wedding traditions went smoothly. Dan was our bartender and also was great. We could not have had a more accommodating and friendly staff. One of the managers, Gene, was very helpful and patient during planning and set up.
Finally, Ryan Brooks was absolutely wonderful in helping us plan and very accommodating so we could have time to decorate. He has a great team but teams are always a reflection of the leader and Ryan is truly awesome! Thank you for making the reception perfect!
I highly recommend Brooks’ BBQ for any event!

Staff was very friendly, patient, and accommodating of our party of 11.
We enjoyed the set up of the buffet and the meat choices. The chicken was delicious! The kids enjoyed the food options and the ice cream bar!
The bottled sauces are great to take home! I recommend the wing sauce- it is excellent!
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly restaurant with options in the buffet for kids

Well I am editing my review after 5 years. This place just is not the same any more. The brisket was really greasy and upset my stomach. The brown gravy with my mashed potatoes was peppery. The cheddar broccoli soup did not taste good. It's all buffet now. The baked beans were so so. The rest of the food at the buffet looked dried out. Rolls were slightly hard. Coleslaw I didn't like (others might). This is probably the last time I go there. Was not impressed with it and to me not worth the price. It definitely is not the same any more as far a quality goes. The atmosphere was really nice though

I miss this place a lot since moving out of the area some years ago. It’s a family friendly place and we made a lot of happy memories over the years when we brought the kids here for dinner.

It has become a family tradition to stop here on our way to upstate NY/New England from Pennsylvania as it’s one of the few places to eat off of I-88. It is a little pricey which is why I give it four stars especially for the portion of brisket that I got. A larger family will run you $100+. The buffet is well stocked and has a nice selection of food that compliments your BBQ meat super well. We’ll keep coming here.
Love Brooks. We stop anytime we are nearby and make plans with family to meet there for dinner once or twice a year
