My new go to place! I used to get my tres leches cake at fiesta, but they have now permanently closed. So, I went here. Let me just say they are amazing! I came in and order my cake last minute for my birthday, o was panicking because, fiesta had closed and no where else did tres leches, I came it the lady working was very nice! I came in today they had it all ready for me. I couldn't be happier. The prices are also SUPER reasonable!!

Allison from the Sugar Beat is amazing at what she does, and is very professional both in customer service and customer experience, but also as a professional baker/chef. Her supreme cakes are mind blowing, and her creativity is soooooooo incredible. Yes these incredible cakes may be a little expensive, but you are literally paying for what you get. If you want a run of the mill cake with run of the mill ingredients and presentation, then go to the grocery store. If you want the very best cake EVER, with a beautiful presentation and hand made everything from the BEST quality ingredients, then please come to The Sugar Beat . You will not regret it, and if I could give unlimited stars for a review, The Sugar Beat would have it. Authentic food. Allison is a French and Italian pastry chef who only uses fresh ingredients. She makes her own sauces for the hot food items. You can't go wrong. And she will remember you! You're never just a number. She and her family genuinely care about their customers. I drive 45 minutes to visit and get fed.

The food is just mouth watering🤤. If you want something that's different from the local regular at basically every restaurant in the Oneonta Cooperstown area this is where it's at! If your looking for your Caribbean food fix definitely try it! Oxtail no words.,.. jerk chicken ( which is one of my personal favorite types of chicken) had a perfect spice level to it with a little sweetness. Cabbage is always on point, Rice and peas are good as always. Thanks again ❤️. Sorry I can't give a review of the desserts as I really don't do sweets, but my friend did get the brownies and said they were amazing.

And it was HUGE. There were plenty of pieces for everybody! I’m very happy I chose The Sugar Beat for my girlfriend’s birthday cake. Allison is a very skilled baker and I would recommend her any day! The Sugar Beat has the absolute best, most delicious baked goods around! Scones, pastries and breads are delicious! An instant smile for your face when you take one bite of their chocolate croissants! Get there soon after they open, and, you may be lucky enough to get one right out of the oven - It's like a chocolate hug! I haven't tried their other food yet (Jerk Chicken, etc), but I'm sure it's as amazing as everything else they have. Their service is friendly and gracious. I hope all the locals are making this place a part of their routine, as they are a small local business and have worked hard for their place in our community!
