This is a great local favorite for both professionals or professors during semester breaks or other "non-student" times {it's mellow and calm then), and students and young collegiate clients during the evenings in-semester (party time, packed and chaotic, the place to be I do hear, but not me at my age!).

As a older person I went on Friday night. The manager a woman she would not give me her name and female bartender treated me very rude. I felt discriminated against because I was not 20. Law enforcement needs to check this place because I had reason to believe there was many under age kids, in "THE RED JUG PUB".
I am so glad I was able to visit RJP Oneonta in their 10th year. This bar was iconic when I was a student so I made a stop on my road trip from MD to Lake George.
I got 2 double vodka lemonades (cherry and peach, respectively) and also bought a tshirt. The Jug shirts are SO FUN and this is my 9th ?
Casey was my bartender, she was fantastic and I was one of two patrons when I went around lunch (Friday of MDW so no students). I will always make a stop when I can for RJP. Cheers to 10 years y’all!

This bar is totally unprofessional, Brett the manager has made my friends and I feel so uncomfortable. He has a vendetta against one of my friends and creates toxic drama for no reason. He has SA’d one of my friends on the cow path of Oneonta and this bar promotes his misogyny and arrogance. I do NOT recommend this bar to anyone.
