Roots is one of my favorite spots in town for a cocktail! The drinks are consistently tasty, and they’ll occasionally surprise you with a specialty creation—my favorite is the Tropical Rum Punch *chef’s kiss*. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, though service can be a bit slow at times due to understaffing.
I especially love that they showcase local artwork for sale. The vibe is always on point, and the aesthetics are absolutely adorable—cozy, artsy, and full of charm.
While I don’t eat here often, the food I’ve tried has been pretty solid. I’m a fan of their take on a Crunchwrap (though I can’t remember what they call it). They also host fun community events from time to time—live music, readings, dance sessions, and even bingo nights. I think one missed opportunity here is not having a seasonal cocktail list but I'm sure that's a lot of work to produce and keep up with.
Overall, I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in town. It’s a gem of a spot with great drinks, local flair, and a vibe that never misses.

Roots in Oneonta offers good food, though it’s not the greatest I’ve ever had. The dishes are simple, but sometimes that’s exactly what you’re looking for, and it works well here. The drinks, however, are amazing and definitely a highlight of the experience.
The service can be a bit sluggish at times, but overall, the staff is very kind and welcoming. The atmosphere is perfect for a casual night out with friends, offering a relaxed and comfortable setting.
I’ll definitely be coming back, as it’s a great spot for a laid-back evening with good food and excellent drinks!

We ate dinner at Roost for the first time last night and loved it! My husband and I each had a crunch wrap (he had chicken, I had pork) and they were both delicious. Split the housemade peach cobbler cheesecake, which was amazing. Definitely recommend this place for a meal or a drink!

Met up with friends. The place is cute but has no ac, so it was very muggy inside. The food was great, except I can't do spice anymore, and my tacos had a bit of a kick to them. Service was awesome. All in all, we had a great time. They also made a deconstructed nacho plate for one of our friends' apon request. I do recommend it here, just not when it's humid out.
