This hotel was perfect for our family. We were there for the Cooperstown All Star Village baseball tournament. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the pool and breakfast. The hotel is not too far from the baseball at CASV. It worked out well for us!

Pros: nice outdoor area with fire pit. Friendly hotel staff. Nice property in general, very nice common areas. 4th floor was quiet. Cons: bit on the pricy side, but I guess it’s to be expected when a baseball tournament is in town. No free continental breakfast. Toilet seats in the bathroom were very low (as per the other comment) and could’ve used a grab bar.. they box the toilet area into a corner of the room and partition off the area with a 5ft wall for privacy. It was just annoying to go downstairs every time I needed to use the bathroom. I understand it’s a design choice and putting in a grab bar may not be feasible because it is a bit small but just be aware of it if you’re booking a room.

Booked two rooms. The first room, upon entering, had hair in the tub and an empty lotion bottle on the bathroom counter. They cleaned the room the next day. When we ordered breakfast the next day the man behind the counter missed my 80 year old Mothers coffee. I went up to ask for it. He proceeded to argue with me that she didn't order it, unbelievable! He finally charged me for the coffee and I went to my seat thinking he would bring it to the table, but no, he left it sitting on the counter. I went to the check-in staff at the counter to inform them of how rude this employee was and they told me to put all meals on one room and we would be compensated for them and for sure, they would speak to the employee. The next morning he did the same thing to my Mother, however, he didn't argue with me or charge me this time, so I appreciate that someone spoke to him. Upon checking out and paying for both rooms the breakfasts were on my bill. I am still waiting for the charges to be credited back. Normally we don't have any issues at Marriot. We stayed at two other Marriott's in Philadelphia with no issues but I would never stay here again, there are plenty of other options.

We arrived at the hotel and they have a sign up front welcoming all loyalty members (I am titanium elite) but my name wasn't on the list. Small detail I thought but it was actually an alert I should have paid attention to. Here were our complaints: 1--We were given a room -- next to the elevator. 2--We went swimming and there was nobody who ever checked what was going on. There were multiple families with teens there seemingly for a baseball tournament and the teens were running around the pool, throwing a ball and diving to catch it, letting in their friends (only front desk is allowed), and then the parents left leaving all the children unattended. My daughter (age 7) did not feel comfortable in the pool with the diving and went to the hot tub but decided to leave when the parents left. 3--The hotel was VERY noisy. The people above us were running around and we could clearly hear them (all the way to 11:00 pm). There was a firepit that our room overlooked and we could clearly hear everyone talking loudly, drinking, and laughing. We called the hotel front desk and they said the policy is 11:00 pm for noise. They did as a courtesy ask the kids outside to quiet down--which brought them inside running around. Their parents took their place outside and were noisy. Our daughter had trouble sleeping with all the noise and we called complaining at 11:10 pm and they talked to the parents with no effect. The noise kept up until midnight. It was a miserable night and a miserable stay. 4--The next day we found out why it was so unbelievably loud. The window was partially open (4 inches). This makes me question whether the room is even cleaned and sanitized. How could it be cleaned if the window was open and nobody closed it nor cleaned the window where you open it. I of course was charged full rate and offered nothing then again--no repercussions for violating every policy. We wont be back--there are options in the area and you should check them out.

Nice property with a firepit and patio. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants. Spacious, clean, comfortable rooms. The restaurant was ooen serving a nice selection of breakfast items. Easy 30 minute drive to Cooperstown.

Overall the staff, hotel and room are great. Tub and room decor are nice. Suggestions: Room door hydraulics still slam doors shut which is completely audible in my room. Having to pay for breakfast is a first for me in all my travels this year. When I tried to use my amazon firestick to watch my apps on the TV, the TV volume was uncontrollably loud. There was no hair dryer in my room. Coffee table scratches could easily be fixed with the dollar store furniture touch up marker set as maids clean the rooms. Feather pillows were so soft/flat I had to use my own. Ceramic coffee mugs would be nice (another dollar store purchase). Tissue box cover would also be nice since mine was ripped. Walls could be better insulated, I could hear my neighbor talking, singing, yawning, laughing and his TV.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night in July. It was a short stay as my husband was going to race track for one day. The room was very clean and even tho I’m para kid because of COVID, I felt safe there. When I called to reserve this hotel I was told that there shouldn’t be a problem with a late (1:30pm) check out. I needed to check out late because I had to work until 1PM; however, when I checked with the front desk in the morning I was told late check out was only for members. I explained that I had asked before reserving because I needed to do work, the front desk said sorry but finally agreed I could leave at 1pm. When I got back to my room the front desk called to tell me they will accommodate and that I could leave at 1:30pm. The front desk person was apologetic and said just take your time. I really appreciated the effort he made to ensure my late check out was ok. I ended up leaving around 1:25 but I’m thankful they were accommodating as I’m not a Marriot member.

Loved this place........we felt very secure in its cleanliness especially since we arrived during the pandemic in June 2020. The bed was wonderful, great pillows, all the amenities you could want and friendly staff as well. Would highly recommend this hotel, great location near lots of restaurants and shopping, yet tucked away enough to be relaxing and quiet for a good night’s rest.

Spent one night here, the evening before Open House at the state college. The hotel location is perfect -- right off the highway, close to everything, yet perched on a hill overlooking it all. The lobby was nice, the staff helpful, and the room large and clean. Perfect hotel for a night or two!

Conveniently located hotel within minutes from Oneonta downtown and close to the SUNY campus. Also about a half-hour drive from Cooperstown. We stayed only one night and found the hotel perfect for our needs - very clean rooms, modern lobby and food area, a small but very functional fitness room, and helpful staff!
