This restaurant has closed and does not appear to be re-opening any time soon. For a while there was a sign stating "Closed for remodeling" but that sign has now been taken down.

Local eatery. We had roast beef and pork chops. Perfectly prepared and served. The bill was surprisingly high. 😕

We had a great experience the minute we walked into the door. Bartender went out of his way, to ask the cook if he could prepare specific items not on the menu. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend this place.

Stopped here for dinner on a Tuesday evening. We didn't have a reservation but were seated promptly in the rear dining room. The restaurant is housed in an old house moved to its present site over fifty years ago. The staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was moderately busy at about seven pm. Dress is casual, the bar was a bit crowded. After we were seated our waitress, Darci, brought us a basket of wonderful fresh bread. We ordered mixed drinks which were promptly served and were very good. I ordered a roast beef sandwich on kimmelwick, it was served promptly with a relish tray and German potato salad, all excellent. The grade of beef is very high, similar to prime rib. When the restaurant is very busy it is carved in at a large station adjacent to the dining room. At moderately busy times it is carved in the kitchen adjacent to where it is roasted each day. Probably the best roast beef in western New York, Will definitely return

Was just there. Had a strip steak sandwich with fries. Steak was awful. Not even close to a melt in your mouth steak. Not even worth the bother to take home. If I were in kitchen and saw 2 plates come back over half the steak left I certainly would have taken something off the bill. Nothing but SORRY! Consequently we will not be back there ever!!! One thing I will say they have a good bartender who makes excellent Manhattans.

First I will say the service was good and everyone was friendly and on top of their stuff. But i have been hearing about Eckls from my boyfriend and his family for 3 years and how amazing it used to be when they'd all eat here. So for his grandmas bday I finally got to experience it and was a little disappointed but wasnt the only one. It was good but it did not live up to my expectation. And his family said its not as good now as it used to be. There wasnt anything "bad" about it, I just dont know if I'd actually recommend it to a friend and I could care less about going back.

I've been here in the past and always had to settle for a fish fry because they didn't offer anything vegan other than a house salad. They've reworked their menu a bit since opening the second location and have since added a vegan burger. I ordered it when I visited with my family (who love tavern food). Normally it's served on a gluten-free bun but they were out. The waitress assured me the kaiser roll was dairy-free so I opted for that. The burger was cooked crisp (almost burnt) and was very crunchy with a strange texture. I opted for the vegan cheese and also got two small slices of tomato & some iceburg lettuce. No condiments or sauces for the burger. It was served with a large pile of french fries. The fries were ok; the burger was edible but just barely. Hats off to them for having a vegan option. However, it would be nice if the cooks actually tasted it themselves once so they knew how to cook & serve properly for guests. I would have given them only 2 stars but I upped it to 3 because they made the effort to put this on the menu at least.

A huge disappointment. Ordered lamb chops for $23.25 with a group. Only got one small slice of bread, one small scoop of mashed potatoes and three of the smallest lamb chops I've ever seen. Two bites each. Nothing else. No soup, vegetable, salad, nothing. Plus they were cold. Won't see me back there again.

Very disappointing dinner in Orchard Park with my son. Only 2 other people in the restaurant, and our dinner took 40 minutes to arrive. It took so long we had to ask to have it boxed to go. Service was not great, salmon dinner was terrible and not as described when ordered. My son ordered the filet which was decent, but mashed potatoes were dry. Our bill was $104 for soup, a glass of wine and the two meals. Not a great night out in OP.

Best crab cakes I have ever eaten (4/3/19). Beef on weck (kimmelweck) delicious as well. Server was a pro.

Terrible food. Was cold. Very dated place. Needs a good cleaning. Bathroom was gross. Was a nice place years ago, not anymore. Manager was not a very polite person. Should be more friendly. Wouldn't even give one star if not required. Wouldn't suggest this place to anyone.
