Asked for a recommendation for a place to eat after we completed another stop - and we wanted a diner - and the first place was the Poked Yolk.
Definitely a diner vibe- homey and unpretentious.
I missed our on getting a Reuben sandwich on St Patty's Day - and it ended up being an all-reuben lunch - I got the Sammy (with fries) and my better half had the Reubens omelet.
The sandwich I'd say was just OK- and the fries I'd have given a C - they were a little soggy and I think diners HAVE to have excellent fries.
The Reubens omelet though I thought was exceptional - one killer dish!

We normally love the Poked Yolk and can never speak highly enough, but the last few times that my husband has ordered an Eggs Benedict the poached egg was very over cooked. It has happened more than once so we feel perhaps a new cook is having trouble cooking eggs. That's a shame for a restaurant that is known for their eggs. They were quick to address it and remake the eggs correctly though. Otherwise, their waitresses are quick and amazing. The food is otherwise very good. Always a line, but they are quick to turn over tables so you tend to not wait long.

Food was great, our server Erica was so rude to the hostess. Screaming at her across the restaurant. Based on her behavior and the reaction of others it’s clear this happens regularly and it’s demonstrative of management they allow this to continue. I was appalled that any upstanding establishment would allow a human being to both treat anyone this way and any employee to be treated in such a negative manner.

I was disappointed to find out they offer sandwiches made with grilled sourdough bread. However I cannot have sourdough toast with any of the breakfast options. The breakfast cost about the same price as the sandwiches. It makes no sense and from what I hear, customers asked many times daily..... As they are interested in having sourdough toast......I was even willing to pay an upcharge ..also the menu offer chorizo in a breakfast, I would say this is not like any chorizo I've cooked with or ordered from other restaurants, it like it's mixed with ground beef. Very blan and boring. Very ground beefish.

Great Breakfast including seasonal specials. Crabcake Benedict was tasty (note that the crabcake is the base; no additional muffin. I liked it but to be aware). Can recommend the potatoes o'brien style (with peppers & onions). Attentive service. Uses a digital waitlist service, which was helpful letting you know where you stand in line.
