Wowsa what a meal!!! Friends had posted beautiful pics of their meals from their tasting menu. It's cute: half the restaurant is a traditional dining room and the other is take out fish and chips. You can have a delicious meal a la carte or the tasting menu. I could not convince my husband to do the 15 course chef's tasting menu. But we did do the tasting menu with wine. Every dish was light, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. We enjoyed the wine pairings which were different (portuguese and spanish wines rounded out some American and South African wines). I am excited to come back to try more of their traditional menu and their namesake (fish and chips). Well worth a visit.

Years ago my wife convinced me of the benefits & preference of sitting at the bar of any eating establishment we visit, especially if it's the 1st time we're checking out a spot. It's a sure fired, guaranteed way to get the true measure of a place & allows one to interact without the artificial barrier of a traditional table service arrangement. Had a taste for fish n chips last weekend and after perusing (& not being armored by) the usual local suspects we realized we needed to cast a wider net and zeroed in on a place that had piqued my interest in the past, Brothers Fish & Chips (B F&C) in Ossining. This required us to take a 30 minute drive north but we are not adverse to going out of our comfort zone to seek out good food We wound up driving past their location as it's in a strip center with a very narrow entryway that's hard to see at night After navigating our way back we parked and made our way down the steep parking lot incline to the entrance & were promptly greeted & seated at their small bar B F&C is charming & inconspicuous but has a warm & friendly vibe After checking out their menu we decided on ordering their mixed ceviche & signature fish n chips as well as a reasonably priced bottle of Albariño The quality, taste, & presentation of everything was surprisingly good & exceeded our expectations You can sense that the owners are paying attention to details that are forgotten about in most other establishments Moreover by sitting at the bar we discovered that they have a great regard for mixology We tried their strawberry pisco sour which was one of the best renditions of my favorite (hard to find) cocktail I've had anywhere! Jackie our hostess & server along with her colleague (sorry forgot his name) couldn't have been more knowledgeable, gracious & accommodating It made for a lovely evening and fun 1st dining experience at B F&C We definitely plan to return to try their tasting menu in the future and highly recommend if you are looking for a place that packs a real punch above it's playing weight don't sleep on B F&C

The food and its presentation is always a delight at Brothers. Their ceviche is superb. For the first time, we sampled their salted vanilla home-made ice cream. At Brothers you don't just get a cup of ice cream. Instead you get 3 dollops of ice cream surrounded by blackberries and piped whipped cream. Everything they serve tastes better because of its look.

DELICIOUS! My fiancé found this gem randomly and I am glad he did The shrimp and fish tastes so fresh and unlike other fish places we’ve visited the fish wasn’t oily The waiter was very kind and knowledgeable He surprised us with a desert that was DELICIOUS and totally something we would not have ordered We will definitely be visiting again Thank you!

We did the tasting at Brothers Fish & Chips last night and it was phenomenal. Chef Elmer served us himself and explained each course. 2.5 hours and 9 courses later we were so satisfied and feeling awed by the creativity of the meal. My husband who "doesn't even really like seafood" was floored, the Tuna Mole dish legit almost made him cry. Upon sitting we were offered a glass of cava but opted for NA beers. Then the plates began! 1. White fish coconut milk ceviche with fried raspberry oyster 2. Scallops with coconut truffle emulsion, sepia caviar and cilantro flower 3. Octopus duck fat, saffron rice flavored with shrimp chimichurri garlic jalapeño aioli 4. Pink langostino, beans American sturgeon caviar flour tortilla tostada Palate cleanser non alcoholic smoked hickory blueberry blackberry lime and rosemary 5. Tuna steak mole mushroom shishito pepper peas and lemon foam 6. Bronzino with carrot, beet, garlic, cilantro and coconut emulsions topped with french radish Pour over Ecuadorian coffee 7. Coconut orange flan 8. Orange pineapple blueberry cake 9. Smoked Chocolate cake with chamomile and strawberry foam

The restaurant and bar is rather small, but it seems to work for the shop. Delicious food and supremely delightful owners! Every plate we ordered was another new favorite.We ordered a crab cake main to share as an appetizer. Because we really wanted it but also wanted the fish and chips.The crab cakes we delicious and the salad that came with it was one we wish we could have at home daily!When the fish and chips came out, we were delighted by how pretty it was, the fish were battered well and crispy, the interior was flaky and the tartar sauce was a delightful addon that was not really needed but was nice to have. The "chips" were amazing! Soft potato-y center, crisp exterior. I could not have enough.For drinks, I recommend the Negroni! Delicious with hickory smoke, my mouth is watering remembering its taste.This was a first visit but it certainly will not be the last. I have got to try many of the other items!Great food, great people. Highly recommended!
Oh brother! Simple advice. Fish and chips. Delicious. AVOID: appys, anything w the word crab attached, deserts a NO. Way overpriced? 30$ for crab paste on top of 4 stale crackers. Truly. Fish n chips are legit. Classic cod.
