My recent experience with Food Chow City left much to be desired. I ordered vegetable lo mein for delivery, only to find chicken pieces in it upon arrival (see attached photo). Understandably, I called to resolve the issue, hoping for a simple solution like previous experiences. However, I was surprised to be instructed to keep and discard the incorrect order, and then asked to visit the store for a replacement, sans chicken. When I politely inquired about a refund for the lo mein, I was informed of a rigid policy requiring returned food for a refund, despite initially being told I could discard it. This inconsistency, coupled with the inconvenience of returning a delivery order, left me puzzled and frustrated.Despite this, I must acknowledge the kindness of the person who answered the phone. Additionally, while today's experience fell short, it's important to note that Food Chow City's food is typically great. As a loyal customer with previous satisfactory resolutions to order issues, this encounter felt like a departure from the usual standard of service. While I appreciate efforts to rectify mistakes, the lack of flexibility and conflicting instructions marred what should have been a straightforward resolution.

Cleanest Chinese takeout joint i've ever been too - almost spotless inside.Food has great flavor, always arrives hot, egg rolls and spring rolls have good crisp. Fair portion sizes.Very friendly owners and staff. Not sure why this place always gets a bad wrap. I have never had any issues.(Chicken broccoli combo and spring rolls pictured)

Food was steaming hot on pick up which was nice. But crab rangoons? Just deep fried cream cheese. Zero crab in there. It doesn’t even taste like crab. Just cream cheese in a wonton wrapper. Was also missing the mushu shell and sauce.

My daughter's and I got so sick from salmonella after eating the boneless spare ribs. This is not the first time I've felt sick after eating here unfortunately. We loved this restaurant once so decided to give it another chance and we got salmonella.

Ordered from them because I was sick and didn't want to go out and they deliver unlike the other Chinese places. I ordered Hot & Sour soup, got egg drop instead, but I was going to eat anyways thinking it wouldn't be worth the trouble to try to get them to replace it. Took one bite, soup was rotten (and barely warm, so I assume it was left sitting out ). I was almost afraid to try the entrees...they weren't rotten at least, but it wasn't the Hunan beef or General Tso's chicken we ordered - there wasn't the slightest bit of spice to either dish and I couldn't even figure out what the chicken was supposed to be. It was closer to Sweet & Sour than General Tso's but it was just sour, not sweet at all and definitely not spicy. After the soup, I was worried that the sour taste was due to spoilage rather than being poorly prepared, so I threw it away after one bite. Crab rangoons were all cream cheese and no crab. On the plus side they actually do deliver and the prices are very reasonable, but I'd rather order pick-up and not have questionable food.UPDATE: Fast forward three years, we decided to give them another try in hopes that our first experience was just a bad night. Once again, we received cold soup (it was the correct kind this time, but it was sour without the slightest bit of "hot"). Lo mein was bland and mushy. Spring rolls were excellent, and egg foo young was pretty decent, but the sauce was on the bland side. Still no crab in the crab rangoon, they were just cream cheese wontons. Delivery guy was friendly & fast, so no complaints there, but for food taste and quality I'll stick to KQ or Dragon City from now on.

Food was okay but definitely not Chinese, it was just regular chicken covered in fake sauce it just didn't taste right, it didn't taste like what I usually get at other Chinese places, kinda like when you would go to the school cafeteria and they were serving orange chicken. Other then at service was good I just wouldn't recommend it as a good Chinese places...

Food was under cooked and cold when it got to me. The owner and woman on the other end very disrespectful about the situation and told me to deal with it and it is what it is. I would not waste your money on this place.

Ok when I ask for no onions in my fried rice that doesn't mean no veggies. Uncle Roger would give this restaurant 0 stars.
