We had such a great breakfast at this cute little diner. My husband and I both got omelets and they were HUGE and came with amazing toast (assuming it was homemade based on the size of the bread). Just a great, inexpensive breakfast. The waitress was so friendly and attentive too!
Came here as a pit stop on my travel..
Very clean restaurant and the food is ON POINT.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone on travel or local.

We went to Ovid a couple of days ago, we chose the Uptown diner and let me tell you, this place is really good !
We took a burger and fries, they have vegetarian options which were really good.
The price is very correct for the amount of food you get.
The dessert are also very tasty.
The waitresses are super nice and sweet, they take care of you in a sweet and professional way.
The ambiance is also really good and it makes you feel at home.
In conclusion, i highly recommend this place, if you search for good American food and ambience, you found your place !

This place is a slice of heaven. It's nostalgia, wrapped in love. If you come often enough, the waitresses will all know you by name, and have your order put in before you even finish sitting down. Food so fresh that you almost wanna ask whose garden it came from so can send a card. HOMEMADE SLOPPY JOES, I cannot emphasize enough how good that special was. Get the muffins grilled, you'll be glad you did.
It is the kindest friendliest place. The portions are huge. One pancake is as big as the plate and thick like two. It is on its own plate. I’m visiting from California and my cousin is at work they let me sit for hours while serving me coffee. Everyone knows everyone and the are all both Dems and Rep. no hate no arguments just family. The world needs more Diners like this. Thank you Elaine Hyer Salinger originally from Ilion NY. Now in Laguna Beach Cali. 🥰
Chill just like momma used to make. ?

This is a fabulous small town diner. We came here the weekend of the solar eclipse. A lot of other people did, too. We were staying in the finger lakes area (between Seneca and Cayuga) and were looking to get breakfast without having to go into Corning or Ithaca. Because it was a Monday, most of the other breakfast places around the finger lakes were closed (and there are only a few). This is definitely a small town family diner. We knew that the food might take a little while. It was also a Monday so they were understaffed compared to the crowds that came for the eclipse (every table was full). On a normal Monday, they would have been staffed appropriately. As such, our food took a little longer than we expected. That said, it was worth the wait. When our food arrived, everyone's meal was hot and very tasty. I got a sausage and pepper omelet with homefries and my husband had French toast. We also ordered a single pancake for our toddler, which she LOVED. It was light and fluffy and she ate more of it than I've ever seen her eat of a pancake (win!).Our meal was perfect and kept us full for several hours, which was great as we were headed for a small hike in Watkins Glen and appreciated the fuel. All in all we would go here again. It was appropriately priced and was nice to find such tasty food and friendly service so close to the lakes and away from the congestion of the bigger cities. It was also a good environment for our toddler.
Parking: Free street parking. The strip in town is pretty small, but there is parking on both sides for about 2 blocks in either direction and then across the way. We had a trailer behind our truck and got really lucky in that there were 2 sections that were easy to accommodate street parking by just pulling along the side of the road. This was perfect since we wanted to have sit down breakfast but didn't want to have to stress about parking the trailer in a big downtown.
Kid-friendliness: We had a toddler with us! They don't have crayons but they are very friendly and didn't mind us having her sit in her stroller right next to the table. No kids' menu but you can order a single pancake or other single sides which was perfect for what we needed. They were also very welcoming and we didn't feel like we were rushed at all.
