“I'd call this place a positive experience. For one, it's a beautiful and welcoming place. The staff is friendly, attentive, and informative. Their wines are dry by natural, so that almost gave me pause because I like sweet wines primarily. The smoothness of most of the wines really surprised me though. My husband and I ended up taking a few home too! We've got a lot more wineries to visit among the Finger Lakes, but this is one to keep on the list to revisit.”
“My husband and I did not get a tasting flight because we arrived after 5:00, but we received a complimentary taste in a shared glass of two wines and bought a cold bottle for our evening sip. The vibe is modern. The wine is authentic and the service was very accommodating.”
“We stopped at New Dragon cuisine because we were staying outside of Ovid New York for the week. My wife got the shrimp with lobster sauce and I enjoyed shrimp with garlic sauce. Both the dishes were superb. My wife got a egg roll which was top rated and compared with Chen Gardens in Rochester. I enjoyed the hot and sour soup with my lunch. A worthwhile stop and very nice people there.”
“Stopped in on a whim after arriving to our son's concert at school too early. Had pleasant chats with other customers waiting on pickups. The phones were busy and the employees were great. Caeley was awesome and gave us great recommendations as we carefully looked over the menu. The food was absolutely delicious! I got a burger and my husband got the kamikaze which was also amazing since I had to try a bite! We asked to bring a menu home and will definitely be ordering again. Thank you for a great experience and incredible food. Hard to find great food and good pricing in local businesses nowadays.”
“Always a joy going there. Just stopped in and grabbed an iced coffee and a cinnamon roll, They were amazing! The owner Connie is always so nice, definitely recommend.(I didn’t see until after I ordered, she also has non-dairy options)”
“Great little icecream place, serving Perry's ice cream. They have the usual soft flavors - chocolate, vanilla and twist plus a plethora of hard ice cream flavors. Shakes and sundaes too.”
“Great selection of NYS products to sample. Loved sampling the different varieties of mushroom vodka...yes indeed they carry a selection of MUSHROOM based vodkas, great for a Bloody Mary or Meaty Martini. They have wines, ciders, beers and spirits to sample so there's a little something for everyone. Jay, one of the owners, is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. The inside of the building is amazing. ( not your typical firehouse of the 50s ) They can also host private events, so ask about renting space for bachelor parties, retirement parties etc. ;)”
“A great visit today at Cayuga Ridge Winery. Bobby was our host and she gave us a wealth of information and sharing on the viticultures, history of grapes in the area, and a great life she has lived so far. Interesting offerings for this season. We will stop back on the next wine trip.”
“Overall pretty good sometimes they get your food order wrong tho, but they'll make you another one and also the fact there is a timer for u to eat there is stupidKid-friendliness: Seen teens go over and eat happily my relative goes with her friends, 30 minute time to eat is stupid tho”
“The pizza was ridiculously good. Had the old world with the recommended hot honey drizzle and it might be my new favorite! If I had one request though, some metal knives and forks would make it easier to cut up my kids slices. Friendly staff and everything was clean and well maintained.”
“My husband and I went there for breakfast, yummy. Then we took our six friends there for a fish fry and seafood platter. So great! The food was great, great owners and loved going to a hometown restaurant.”
“I spent an afternoon at Finger Lakes Cider House and had wonderful time. As I walked in I was greeted by a lovely lady who made me feel welcomed and explained all the food and drink options for me. I sat outside and enjoyed the views of the cidery and nearby lake while enjoying a house flight of cider, warmed almonds, and olives. I don't typically like sweet drinks but this flight was exactly to my liking. The sweet ciders were not too sweet but instead had so much flavor. They all paired nicely with the salty almonds and olives. I wanted to purchase a bottle and the staff kindly recommended me a cider and even let me taste a sample before I made a commitment. I will definitely be back, I had the best experience.”
“This was the friendliest place we have come across in the region. The bartender, the sister and daughter of the two brewers, was knowledgeable about all the brews. Our two pups were more than welcome. The food was an excellent treat. I can't speak highly enough of the pepper bacon jam. The beer spanned a nice range and had an excellent taste. Our party of 4 sampled each pour and none disappointed.”
“We had the MOSt amazing day! We did a wine tasting and met an incredible man named John Pulos. John was out tasting guide but shared his amazing knowledge of wine along with his unequaled knowledge of the Titanic,If you ever have a chance to go to meet him....I recommend you do! Thanks for an amazing wine tasting education and a journey legendary story!!”
“Stopped here for breakfast while visiting Cayuga Lake and it was really good. I like to try hole in the wall places like this and it didn't disappoint. I got 3 eggs with meat and corned beef hash. The food was cooked to order and everything was fresh. Prices are great for the amount of food you get. Service was friendly and efficient.”
“Dave and Rita’s bakery is the best. Come see them at the public market. Tom and the staff were able to make two wonderful cookie cakes for our son who is at the Naval Academy. They were wonderful!”
“Went out for a fun day and ended here. Not only was the wine fantastic but I will have to say Russ was the best part of my day! It was tons of fun and if you are looking for good wine and a good time stop on in! ?”
“Great view of Cayuga Lake, laid back atmosphere. Awesome beer selection, fun flights too. Went for pizza and wings tonite, both excellent! Pizza was fresh tasting, excellent sauce, wings were actually crunchy and so so good! Love this place!”
“The server was nice but could not operate the wood burner appropriately, so the place was filled with smoke. The beer was delicious, though. We did a flight. The only terrible one was the gluten-free option. The Amber was a super well-balanced, perfect mid-strength beer. We scored a growler of that to take back to our little lakeside cabin. 1 extra star for them trying their best to fix the smokiness.”
“Although the restaurant was busy today we were seated, waited on, and served in a reasonably amount of time. The food was good and the wait staff was friendly and accommodating, especially since we wanted a window table that had not been bussed yet.”
“Recently went on a overnight stay at Seneca lake with my boyfriend and we stopped here on our way to the camp site. It was a Wednesday so we were the only ones in there but this place was very cool. The live bees and I love a good mason jar flight. The wine slushes were good. Would recommend if driving by.”
“My husband and I relocated from the city about a year ago and have truly been embracing wine country. We’ve been to some really amazing wineries but this one goes to the top of the list! We went for a tasting yesterday and had a wonderful time. The staff are so lovely, welcoming and knowledgeable. Our favorite staff member was Ham, resident canine who was beyond adorable. The wine is top of the line. I can honestly say there was not one we didn’t love and left with 20 bottles. But I would recommend not leaving without their Sparkling Brut and Ruby Port. We enjoyed delicious bread and cheese with our tasting as well as a basket of French fries that were the best I’ve ever had. It’s clear these people know how to do it right. We will definitely be returning. This winery was referred to us by our neighbors who go there for a monthly dinner they offer and rave about so we will be trying that as well. Like I said they do it right!!”
“Our server was SO courteous, professional and patient. He actually waited to talk to us and didn't interrupt our family conversation. It was incredibly kind and we will always remember this level of service....wish other wait staff in other restaurants did this.”
“Typical ice cream shop from the inside-out as far as appearances are concerned, but the quality of the ice cream and service were great. The mocha chocolate chunk may have been a little chilly for my husband's liking, but I loved the Cayuga salted caramel just fine. The size of a single scoop? Pretty fair for the price too. If I'm ever out here again, if I should ever pass up a scoop for any reason, I'll have you know this place absolutely tempted the heck out of me to say the least.”
“I have absolute no complaints. The food was amazing, and made promptly . The waitress was very personable and professional. The owner even came out to ask how everything was !I highly recommend this restaurant.”
“Food was great! Had to ask for more water. Ordered drinks with dessert. Dessert came, bar was backed up. Tried to wait but it was melting. On last bites when drinks finally arrived.”
“Great views of the lake and beautiful tasting room with outdoor areas to sit and enjoy wine and food. Reasonably priced tasting fee $10/5 tastes. Great appetizers to try too.”
“It's nice for a change to be able to taste wines that aren't full of complexity. I chose the varieties that would give me more of the Concord grape flavor and am happy to say they had many. Their back deck overlooking their pond is so enjoyable. Also our visit by a very talkative pony was quite t he treat. Jamie took exceptional care and had the patience of a Saint. We've put this wine out at Halloween for the parents that accompany the children and it's been a hit. So we returned to restock for this year. Not a over the top fussy or fancy winery, but definitely friendly staff and great ?.”
“Visiting the Finger Lakes with my family for a winter vacation and this was definitely one of our favorite restaurants. Food was all delicious. Blue cheese burger was great, wife had an amazing chicken sandwich, but hands down the French onion soup was to die for. We were in the area only 4 days and we went there twice, enough said... History and atmosphere were also great.Kid-friendliness: Nice kids menu, crayons and coloring menus.”
“Called in a big Togo order around 9:00am Saturday, 20 minutes was not a long wait. Everything was perfect and correct, good food fast. The ham is an actual ham steak not lunch meat. Can't wait to try lunch sometime soon.Pictured is The Big One. French toast, over easy eggs, hashbrowns and sausage links.”
