Super fun place to go with a young but mature crowd, without the yelling and fuss that some of the other places on the strip offer. The bartenders were fantastic at their job and the cocktail menu was something special. Didn't find a bad drink on that. Good vibe, nice interior design.

Food: hot dogs and snack food! Decent stuff! Drink: original, delicious cocktails for the win! Not many places in Patchogue are serving cocktails like theirs! You can also fine beer and wine. Service: friendly service Atmosphere: cross between upscale cocktail bar, brewery and greenery. They have dark lighting and fancy drinks. Beer and board games. And live plants and cool decorations throughout! Love it!

Great South Bar is one of the newer bars that creates craft cocktails and small plates that's off the Patchogue strip. Sincerety and kindness goes a long way, this place employs wonderful caring people which attracts good customers here ,which makes the bars atmosphere one of a kind type of place. The establishment is ran by a few veteran bartenders who create seasonal drink and food menus. One thing you'll never have enough here is Fernett-Branca! make sure to ask them about it. They'll often have different wines, beers and spirits from cool breweries and wineries. They also have music on certain nights. The place is small but very cozy, it sort of has a West Village type of vibe to it. The bars decor and theme is based heavily on film and movies so there's always something interesting playing. The prices are fair and the bartenders are wonderful, there is plenty of street parking available as well. There are plenty of good bars in Patchogue, but if you're looking for a one of a kind bar that pours some craft cocktails where you can catch a movie this is your spot.

The place is right on and true to its mission. A simply constructed bar to have a drink and hang out with cool folks. Great Vibe and awesome cocktails. Clean and unpretentious. A perfect retreat from the big sports bars.

This is easily my new favorite spot in town. It's small, quiet, has great service, awesome selection of craft beers, fantastic cocktails, amazing vibe, and I could go on and on... It's such a nice place to take a breath of fresh air away from the hustle & bustle that is Main St and what those bars offer. Great South Bar is the perfect place if you want a nice date night out or even to hang with some friends when you want to hear the conversation. Terrance and the other bartenders are serious about their mixology and the cocktail menu here is the best, bar none. These masterful drinks will run you a little bit at $13 each, but get here during happy hour and they're $2 off. Speaking of happy hour, they have half price beers of some reallyyyy great stuff. The other night, we got a couple Three's brews and the bill was under $10. Can you get there anywhere else? No. Also, dollar hot dawgs on the happy hour menu also. Their food menu is strictly bar food; chips & onion dip, cheese & meat board, hummus, PB&J, etc...no frills kinda stuff that's good for munchin' when you're tossing a few back. This place is great and I stop in whenever I get the chance, you should too!

Live music on Thursday's ! I also enjoy the selection of board games available to play. The apps and snacks are of good choice and delicious homemade hummus is on point. Had a great time here last night with a table of friends. I really enjoyed the music especially last night thanks to the GRATEFUL GIRLS! :-) I will definitely be back soon!!

My favorite spot in patchogue. You can actually hear yourself talk there unlike most bars in patchogue at night. I grew up just south of the bar in the village, this place brings the authentic south shore vibe like none other. Great beer, chill environment and James and Terrance are super chill guys.

This is the type of place I've been looking for! A very chill vibe with knowledgeable staff. My husband and I came here for puppy bowl- wouldn't have known it existed except for an ad on Instagram. I'm glad we came in! Since Mondays are our night out, it's hard to find a place that's open. Luckily GSB is! They have some light food like sandwiches and hotdogs, but I just stuck to the beer.

Do you ever lay awake at night, wondering what all the cool people are doing while questioning your existence and whether there is something out there, more meaningful that can give you not only fulfillment, but a sense of purpose? That was me before Great South Bar opened. Since inception, my social life has improved and I now receive phone calls from real people instead of the original spam calls from robot solicitors. Great South or GreaSoBah as I've come to know it by, has the best beverages and staff of any bar in the Milky Way. Keep doing what you're doing y'all - it's because of you that I'm now comfortable using southern slang.
