This place is a hidden gem! The food was deliciously authentic and the kind of fresh you only get when you’re actually in the Mediterranean. This will definitely be my new go to restaurant for family and friends!

Amazing food, environment, everything! Been twice and both times didn’t disappoint. The service is excellent and the family always offers suggestions, help with pronunciations, amazing and patient w/ explaining the different dishes. The family who owns the place truly make you feel at home and the food tastes that way as well. So much love and flavor!! Seasoned extremely well, super aromatic. And again, I can’t stress how pleasant and welcoming the fam is. Food really is made w/ love.

Very delicious Afghani food. I ordered the chicken kabob it was so juicy and full of flavor. The basmati rice that came with the chicken was so yummy! Everything is made from scratch even my daughter's chicken tenders tasted like homemade and not frozen. The Bolani Kachaloo was so good. The hospitality and generosity of the owners was truly amazing! We felt like we were eating at their home. They were so welcoming and kind! They sent me home with a large container of their Kabuli Palow rice on the house. Can't wait to visit them again soon!

If I could give this restaurant more than five stars, I absolutely would! If you're looking for incredible food paired with warm, welcoming service that makes you feel like family, I highly recommend checking out Mazza.

We visited on the evening of Friday, July 18, as a party of four. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine hospitality. When I mentioned an issue with the metered parking outside, the gentleman at the front kindly offered us his own parking spot, so that we wouldn’t have to worry about the broken meters —an incredible and selfless gesture that truly set the tone for the evening!

We were seated promptly, and our drink orders were taken. When we inquired about the wine, they even offered us a tasting to make sure we liked it, which we did! Soon after, we were treated to a complimentary appetizer of hummus, olive tapenade, and fresh pitas, all of which were absolutely delicious. We devoured it quickly, and the staff noticed—bringing out another round without us even asking!

The gentleman who seated us also waited on our table, and he was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive throughout the night. He answered all of our questions about the menu and made us feel completely at home.

As for the food—every single dish was exceptional! Between the four of us, we enjoyed the lamb chops, Greek salad, grilled octopus, chicken souvlaki, and their sides of spinach and lemon potatoes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.

We were beyond impressed with both the service and the quality of the food. We can’t wait to return!

I was craving Mediterranean food and randomly popped in here on a visit to Long Island. It was everything I was hoping - delicious, fresh food, welcoming staff, and enough of a wine list for an afternoon spritz. Everything from the hummus to the kebabs to the sweets was cooked perfectly and hit the spot. I was crushed when I realized I'd left my doggie bag in the car overnight. I honestly debated risking it all for a few more bites.

We just ate here and the food, the service and the atmosphere were all fantastic. The falafel was the best I’ve ever had. I already cannot wait to go back and try other items. Their sides are incredible and could be added together to make a meal in itself. Definitely recommend.

My spouse and I were pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem, as discovering authentic ethnic cookery on the south-shore of Long Island is often amiss. Typically, a journey to the North Shore or even going into Nassau County is necessary!

We stepped into a rather smartly appointed little gallery and dining area only but a few steps past the shop entrance. Quickly, we were greeted by a personable young man, who introduced himself and goes by the name Samir (co-owner). We had a cheerful chat past mere pleasantries and were given suggestions from the Afghani side of the menu which appealed a bit more than the usual Greek heavy but often watered down pseudo Mediterranean offerings in most places who produce dishes from that side of the world. Shared first course(s) was the 1)Mantu (delicate dumplings with a filling of beef mince, aromatics and warm, eastern garam spices.
2)Borani Banjan: stewed aubergine (eppgplant) similar to Bangain Bharata but not exactly. Both were lovely

We shared the lamb Kebab dish on offer which came with a side of a most welcome spiced Basmati, bursting with warmth and tho the lamb lacked the grass-fed punch. We also shared an order of falafel which had a nice crisp and were pillowy in the middle but needed salt/seasoning and a perhaps a hint of acidity of acid (lemon juice). The overall experience was more than favourable as we left replete with good food and drink.

We highly recommend Mazza and will return for another visit. We wish them much success

I want to say the food is delicious. However, when ordering online I've had 2 bad experiences now where I've tried to get a kids meals for my son who has food allergies (Dairy, Eggs, Sesame). A box pops up so you're able to enter said allergies but the kitchen does not seem to receive the proper information.

The 1st time, the kids pasta had cheese added to it after I specifically mentioned Dairy allergies. The 2nd time, I called ahead and asked if the chicken souvlaki is made without yogurt. I was under the impression it would not have Dairy or yogurt sauce since I've had the adult version before. Even added the allergies again when ordering online. The order was delivered on pita with yogurt sauce inside 🫠. Unfortunately will not be ordering from here again, even though I love their food & fast delivery service.

We grabbed a quick lunch last week and were super impressed. Food was fantastic, the couple who owns and cooks were lovely, and the place is gorgeous. We just realized that we’ve both been talking about it and can’t wait to go back, so I wanted to tell everyone else to go try it, too!

Went out to lunch at my sister’s go-to spot and now I see why she loves it so much. I had the lamb gyro platter tender, flavorful lamb served with a fresh Greek salad and crispy fries. Everything was perfectly balanced and delicious. Great food, friendly service! definitely didn’t disappoint!

The food is always so good! It's one of my favorite places in Patchouge. You will not be disappointed. I love that when you walk in, it is quiet, calm, and welcoming. I tend to get a few appetizers and share. Spicy feta with honey? Delicious! Aushak and Mantu are really great and flavorful, too. There are so many choices you can't go wrong here.
