My friend and I got a table at about 10pm and got nachos and some street horn and shishito peppers. The food was good, but it was either cold or warm. This confused me because I’ve worked in restaurants and we told him to send it all at the same time. We could’ve easily been out of there by 11pm (close), and that was our goal because we didn’t want to hold anybody up. We got out of there at 11:50pm. This is because our server John was having conversations with the tables around us and restocking napkins or on his phone. We were in the middle of the room and it took us an hour for him to get the check and then have him come back so I could pay. The only reason he came back that early was because my friend called over another server to get him because he just kept walking past us. I don’t know if it’s because we didn’t order alcohol because we don’t drink (so the check would be cheaper than other tables there) or if it’s because my friend happens to be black, but something wasn’t right. The vibe was definitely off, and for me notice and start losing patience is saying something. The very short interactions we had with him were fine, and he seemed friendly, but he was much friendlier to the tables around us. It took us 20 minutes to get a box for the food because even though we asked him, he never brought it. One of the very friendly bus boys noticed we were sitting for a while and brought it for us. They were more attentive to us than he was and I appreciate it. Give them a raise.

Delicious food and great staff! I got the Korean short rib quesadilla and it was mouthwatering. The atmosphere is lively, so don’t expect a quiet venue, but that’s the character that Dirty Taco brings. :^)

I’d been here many times before and pretty much every time the experience was always top notch. Tonight was the exact opposite and that was almost entirely due to our server Lisa. She was probably one of the worst servers I’ve ever encountered. Ordering was almost an argument for some reason. Add in that she was very slow too. The thing that really really upset me was the fact that all my daughter(we were there for her 7th birthday) wanted for dessert was whipped cream, she wouldn’t even do that, instead saying that as seven year old had to order a dessert before they would do anything for her birthday. Disgusting. And I saw the table literally behind us who were also celebrating a birthday and it really looked like the were given a birthday treat without having to buy a dessert. In my opinion that’s terrible customer service and it sure looked like that she was just trying to increase the check. And finally the music was way too loud for a Thursday night. We couldn’t even hear each other. That would have been more tolerable were it. Into for a server we had to almost argue with to order. Probably won’t be back.

Update: It's been a week since this review. I have not heard anything at all from the people who run this business. They sure responded quickly to a 5 star review. You'd think they'd be more responsive to a horrible review so they could, maybe try to improve. I guess not, I also reached out to this business on multiple occasions and platforms from here, to yelp, to Facebook messenger to directly emailing them. No response form any of these attempts. Pretty telling if you ask me.

My friends and I had a girl night out, Brittney was out server, she was AMAZING!!!!!! Very attentive, got all of our orders correct, super friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back!! 💜

I went there last night for my daughter’s 7th birthday. I’d been there several times and never really had a bad experience except for the music being occasionally too loud(it was way too loud last night) but last night was ruined by quite possibly one of the worst servers I’ve ever encountered in Lisa. She was in no way friendly, and was inexplicably borderline combative when I was ordering my meal. The rest of the party noticed this as well. The food took an eon to arrive. What really got me upset was that for dessert my daughter simply wanted something with whipped cream, which she has gotten last year for her birthday there. Lisa told us no, she had to order a dessert off the menu in order to get whipped cream. What kind of awful person wouldn’ just be like ok, get a scoop of ice cream, put whipped cream and a candle in and make a little girl happy? Was the extra 12 dollars awe had to spend that important? Completely disgusting. What makes this even worse was the table literally behind us, also celebrating a birthday but lucky enough to have a real server, they got ice cream with a candle without having to order a dessert off the menu. How insulting was this. Was my daughter somehow not important enough to be given the same treatment as the person sitting right behind us? Needless to say It’s going to take e lot to get me to ever set foot in this place so I hope it was worth it for Lisa to add 12 dollars to the check.

Dirty Taco in Patchogue is very fun. I have enjoyed this location many times and my last visit was Friday October 3rd, 2025. The food options are amazing, the location itself is bright and cheerful, service is always great and on point. I only took a star off as the atmosphere can feel very party like so it’s not for everyone!

The parking is easy enough as you can use the spaces begin building, the restrooms are okay as they could be cleaner. Overall, it’s a great place to hang and get great food with a very lively atmosphere.

I am a frequent customer of this location. The food is always right on point. There’s always good music playing and the servers are always so attentive. I don’t like to play favorites but one particular server that always stands out to me is Jill. She always has great recommendations and her customer service is out of this world. Look forward to coming back again and smashing tacos soon. I also have to shout out vegan Johnny another fan favorite of mine.

Probably one of my favorite spots in Patchogue.. the food is amazing , the atmosphere is very inviting , fun and the service staff is always professional and courteous especially Jill who always goes above and beyond to make sure I am and her tables are taken care of !!!

My husband and I love the food, vibe and atmosphere each time we go! The dirty nachos are a must have as well as their ribs as a starter! Also best tacos we’ve had by far! Highly recommend it for a date night, lunch, or dinner!

Website says they are open till 10:30pm. I tried to order food they told me I was unable to order due to inventory and recommended another restaurant.

Great food, great drinks, super friendly staff! Jill, our server, was amazing, super helpful, and great with my kids. 12/10 recommend!
