The food, waitstaff, and atmosphere here are excellent, but my experience with the manager completely soured the visit.
We docked our boat quickly without tying the lines because it looked crowded, and we wanted to ensure there was a table available for our party of five. In the rush to jump off the boat, I left my flip-flops behind and went to the front counter to check availability. The employee at the counter politely informed me that I needed shoes to enter (completely reasonable). After I explained the situation and said I’d return to the boat for my shoes and party, they began checking for a table.
Suddenly, the manager stepped in and refused to let the employee answer my question about table availability. He insisted they wouldn’t check unless I was already wearing shoes—even after I explained that I would retrieve them immediately if a table was available. So, I ran back to the boat, grabbed my flip-flops, and returned to the counter. Only then did the manager confirm they had a table. I had to run back again to let my party know so they could tie up the boat and join me.
When we were finally seated, the manager came to our table and made a snarky comment about the situation. It was unnecessary and felt like a power trip. I hadn’t said anything rude, but he clearly felt the need to assert himself. It left such a bad taste that we debated leaving. Unfortunately, I didn’t get his name.
I completely understand and agree with the policy requiring shoes to dine, but refusing to answer a simple yes-or-no question about table availability—even after I explained the circumstances—was unreasonable. The manager’s behavior throughout the interaction was unprofessional and left a lasting negative impression.
This version is slightly more concise and polished while retaining all your key points and tone.

The marinated steak tidbits were delicious, along with the garlic mashed potatoes and sauteed asparagus, made for a great meal.
And the grilled peach margarita was so good!!

Very loud but still a lot of fun and beautiful, despite the rain. The fish dinners we had were excellent. We'll go back again.

Girls afternoon lunch and we enjoyed the spinach dip, wontons, goat cheese salad, steak tidbits and clams. All very good! Nice cocktail and mocktail selection. Great location. Look forward to returning next summer to enjoy the outside eating area.

Casual atmosphere, lovely view, excellent food and service! Our group had Watermelon Martini, Lobster Bisque, Lobster Roll, Scallops, and Pené 82. Everyone raved about their meal. We shared Tiramisu and Cookies and Cream Gelato for dessert. Both were delicious. Great evening all around.
Wheelchair accessibility: We did see a wheelchair parking sign. There may be more than one spot available, but we only personally noticed one.

Food is consistently good. Service is wonderful. We originally chose to sit inside however, the table next to us was extremely loud so we asked if we could be mute moved outside. The staff was very accommodating and placed us a lovely outside table.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Drift 82. The location is beautiful. I definitely want to return in the future in the daylight to appreciate the water views, as we went after sunset for the moonlit water views. We dined inside since the evening got quite chilly, but the outdoor dining/bar area looked enticing. Our meals were delicious and the cocktails were even better.
Dined here this past Sunday for my birthday dinner. Our waitress was phenomenal, she attentive and provided us with their specials for the evening. We started off with a beef carpaccio which I've never had and this app was AMAZING, so flavorful and tasty! My party of 3 people all ordered the Halibut special which came with truffle mushroom risotto, delicious! We also ordered a side of sautéed asparagus and sweet potato fries, both excellent, loved the garlic on the asparagus! For dessert, I went with my favorite which was the rainbow cake and it was fantastic.
The prices went up terribly. Also, when making the reservation, they ask if its a special occasion. I wrote birthdays. Obviously, they don't look at that because they had no idea.once told. They said what desert do you like...we were charged. Lol
