This is the second time I've made a reservation for a special occasion a day in advance, and this is the second time I was told I would have to wait for the reservation a half hour to a full hour. This is something that simply can't be done with children on a school night.... the first time this happend someone at least tried to make it right, but this time I was told if I dident like it I could go to a diner..... very rude...and my party of four felt like we did not matter.

The worst Service and Food!!! June 2024 They make their sushi spicy to cover up the lack of freshness and quality. The cooked food is terrible terrible and with all the seasonings that are available, there’s just no reason or excuse for it. If you dare ask for something else or complain, then they make it seem at if it’s your fault so you may as well say nothing. I got very sick and called to let them know so others would not get sick and they didn’t care. And I simply told them in hopes that others would not get sick. There are many restaurants in New York. This is not one that you should go to..

Hoshi is amazing. Food is always great. My whole family went for Hibachi one night. My girls had such an amazing time. The chef was top notch. The manager came and checked on us was polite. I really had a fun time here. My kids are picky eaters , but all tried the food. They want to go once a week now. I want to recommend Hoshi for not just the Hibachi but also for there sushi. I have had it many times and never had I not like anything I got.

I planned on bringing my fiance and her family to a place in Holbrook for her birthday but I forgot to make reservations, when I called they were not going to be able to take us until much later in the evening. Afterwards I called Hoshi and the person I talked to was very friendly and was able to squeeze 8 of us in with just an hours notice. Our cook was great, very good with my step daughter, kept her entertained the whole time he was out which is tough to do in today’s iPad age. He was funny, sang songs and wasn’t pushy with the saki or throwing food at us, I’ve experienced this in the past at other hibachi restaurants and it made me resistant about going back. He told us he had been cooking for 30 years and had worked in hibachi restaurants all over the US. You could tell, the food was really good, everyone enjoyed their meals and the price wasn’t too bad either. I will take my family back again in the future and I definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for some good food and a few hours of fun.

Ordered $40 for take out! When I asked if I could get more ginger and wasabi I was told there is already a lot and for extra it would be a charge! Laughable at the amount I received! Food was ok at best.
