Locale Gastro Bar and Pizzette

Went on a Saturday night. Was able to snag a 630 reservation for 3 at 615. It looks like they only had one waiter for the entire restaurant, which is why service was very slow. Not the waiters fault, he was very busy. Food was good, drinks were ok. One drink was completely undrinkable. The whole table tasted it and agreed it was not good at all. Not sure if it was a mistake or that's how it's supposed to taste. Overall, it was a good meal and we will be back.

Shoutout to Kait M! Drinks were absolutely amazing! She is efficient & quick and her drinks were YUMMY! Not to mention, customer service 1000000/10.. she is the sweetest, funnest, most down to earth bartender I’ve experienced. KAIT IS THE BEST!!!!!

I have been here many times and I am never disappointed. Every thing is sooo good especially The @Grubfather. I highly recommend that and this place to anyone.

I've eaten at Locale a few times before and it was good. Last night things were much different. They didn't put out warm bread, just sliced cold bread that wasn't enough for the 7 people we were with. Service was terrible as it took our food over 45 minutes to come out. My daughters pizza came out. She finished it before we had to ask where our food was. It finally came out. It was good. Just a disappointing outing. With so many other restaurants to choose from, I will think twice before coming back.

I always have a good experience here. The food is always great and everyone helping us has been pleasant.

It was good, food was tasty, staff pleasant, good variety, price was a little high for what you get but not terrible. Very loud from the live music.

Bathrooms are a mess. Filthy. Get some new garbage cans. Always a great experience but leaves me concerned if you w had to use tge bathrooms. And so does the staff. Easy fix.

Food was good, wait staff was friendly but not quite as attentive as we would like. We had to keep asking for things like silverware, etc. but would go back and give it another try...

Horrible ! I use to go to this place almost every weekend until about a year ago and it was good . The owner was a young guy and his sister . He would sit and talk to me . Last night I went there and ordered the veal parmigiana and calamari and it was horrible . First of all the bar tender was a nice girl but she was more interested standing in front of the register texting . She never once asked me how everything was . After I got the calamari I waited about 45 minutes for my veal . The DJ who wasn’t even playing music came and sat at the bar and ordered food long after I did and he had his food before me . I finally asked the bartender “where is my veal ?” and she said it’s coming . When I got the food it was ice cold . The ziti seemed like it came out of the refrigerator. The veal was a patty not real veal like it is to be . When I was young we were very poor and my Mom would serve me the same veal patty and try and pass it offa real veal . It told me back to that memory . The service was so bad after waiting for my check for about 25 minutes I just put $80 under my Diet Coke glass and procceded to leave . They never offered me any bread or water and everyone was to busy texting . The DJ finally put on a song at 9:20 pm and the place closed at 10pm . Not a bad gig . If I could rate this place a zero I would . I have no idea what happed to this place maybe it’s new owners now but I can tell you if it continues to be run like that it won’t be in business much longer . If your the owner and you don’t believe my review look at your camera footage from last night at 8:06 pm to 9:25 pm . I review a different restaurant every week and I work for LI restaurant magazine. No one knows that I’m reviewing and watching everything that goes on and tasting the food to do the review . As I was leaving a server handed my my check it was for $59 so I just left and kept the $80 on the bar. I will never go back unless a drastic changes are made .

I attended an event Friday night and this place blew me away on so many levels. The food was amazing, but the service was even better. Between Kaitlyn giving me a sample of one of the wines because I told her I was picky about wine and Zack accommodating an absolutely ridiculous request, they were all just amazing people. I’m autistic and I make some ridiculous requests sometimes, but Zack didn’t even bat an eye. I have pet rats and I saw that broccoli rabe was on the menu as a side, so I asked if I could take home like a single piece and he didn’t even blink, he just said to remind him before I left. I will definitely be patronizing them in the future

We had the eggplant parmigiana panini and the white spartichoke pizzette and both were excellent. The staff is friendly too. Highly recommended.

I want to be able to rate this place better but they’re a complete rip off. Grabbed a surfside yesterday and my bill was $21.75. Absolute rip off, wish I was told the price before I handed my card over. Will not be back.

$40 for a 2oz portion of leather veal with cold mashed potatoes. $12 for basically a shot of red wine.
Live music was nice with the two young kids.
