Could have sworn I wrote a review for TJ's many moons ago. This was, of course, before they moved locations from Main Street to Washington. Not sure if the review was lost in the move. Regardless it's time to shout out a family favorite. My husband grew up going to TJ's. Ironically, I wasn't much of a sandwich person until the Hubs came along. And what was once a regular thing for us is now a treat. Hub's go to is a Chicken Supreme with American cheese and Mayo. Me...I bounce around. Some days I'll get a Tuna hero, and other days it's the Super Club or the #25 cold Italian hero with the works and Mayo. The bread is delicious. They put the right amount of meats/cheese which I can appreciate a nice, not overstuffed sandwich sometimes. Also the iced tea. Classic deli iced tea. Hard to find a good one these days. TJ's has stayed the same and continues to be one of the best. These days I get the unsweetened mango tea and it's just as good. What was once a tiny sandwich shop, is now a nice size convenient store which features some household items, a few groceries and lottery tickets. The staff...some of them have been there as long as I can remember. This is a local biz that I think the community would be crushed if they ever leave. They really are the best here, and have even helped me carry a ton of sandwiches to the car while doing a pickup with the kid. TJ's...one of the most underrated spots in LI but prob the best sandwich shop on the Island. If you didn't know, now you do!

Ridiculous, ordered my sandwich and asked them to cut it in half and i'll take half because I didn't expect it to be that big and they acted like they couldn't and I had to buy whole. Pathetic going to the hero place up the block now lol never coming back.

Oh my god, the quality of this food is astounding. I actually came here as far back as when it had its location off Main Street. Recent visits had been no less amazing than any other visit, and I have a particular sandwich that I like to order from there. Customer service has always been really good, and out of all of the times I have ordered from there on only one occasion have I gone away with an incorrectly filled order, but that's okay because I had only got into my car before I checked it and then headed back inside to ask them if they could remedy that situation - without hesitation they were on top of it, fixed the sandwich (by adding the gravy that had been missing) and had me on my way pretty quickly. Staff are all very polite, very good people, and in the years of being a customer having only 1 mistake to talk about is a perfectly good record in my book. It's a nice environment there overall too, and even better since they moved location to Washington. Makes for a nicer, roomier in-house dining area and allowed them to add more snack and beverage selection. I'm really happy to see them doing well, and whenever I find the time to swing out that way (it's actually out of my way, but there's nowhere else that makes a sandwich THIS good) I go there. I've got to recommend this to anyone who is looking for an amazing sandwich, or anyone interested in sampling the local cuisine as this is among the finest offerings around Patchogue area. The prices aren't bad either, in fact compared to the quality of their food you'll end up feeling like you've just stolen from them. Portions are fairly hefty. I can't remember finishing a whole long in just one sitting, so there's always a second day's lunch waiting in the fridge after I've gone here. Go here, enjoy the food, I really don't think you'll regret it.

Sandwich Nirvana! Was dying for a good roast pork sandwich and their Long Islander didn't disappoint! Thin sliced, hot roast pork, gravy and melted mozzarella on a garlic hero. It was

I ordered a roast beef hero with melted mozzarella on garlic bread. There was mostly tomato and lettuce. Hardly any roast beef. No mozzarella and no toasted garlic bread.

Philly cheesesteak was decent but the Louisiana lightning was YUCK. I couldn't even eat it. The chicken was dry, rubbery, hard and inedible. Felt like I was going to break my teeth eating it, instantly felt nauseous. You guys went downhill.

TJ's has always had the best sandwiches and party heroes and salads in the Patchogue area. Fresh bread, good meats and fresh produce always produce a quality product. It's our sandwich shop of choice as well as for most of Patchogue. Good stuff.
