I used to get the most amazing breakfast sandwiches here. Now it's like a completely different restaurant. The bacon, which used to be thick cut, smoky, and would melt in your mouth has been replaced with disgusting paper thin bacon identical to what you would get at McDonald's. The Eggs were covered in too much pepper. The bun was soggy. And to make things worse they absolutely DROWNED this BEC with ketchup. I did not ask for any ketchup and didn't want any, but it was literally all I could taste. If you want better food for much less money, go to literally any deli, or McDonald's for that matter!

We used to get amazing sandwiches here all the time. Always considered this a hidden gem. Sadly though, things have apparently changed. We noticed when online ordering that the prices have substantially increased. $18 DOLLARS+ 20 cents for an Italian hero is outrageous. That's a $4.20 increase in price. We ordered anyway, and it was lack luster to say the least. Not like what they have served in the past. We requested a grilled cheese sandwich for our 2 year old, but we were unable to order it because the employees didn't know what a grilled cheese was... They did not speak English well and couldn't understand our description of a grilled cheese sandwich.. First time for everything I guess. Seems like a little quality control would resolve this.

So this place changed owners recently and the quality went way down. This used to be one of the best sandwich shops on Long Island. Now it's one of the worst. I ordered a turkey club and it was cold cut turkey in between huge slices of bread. It had to have been one of the worst turkey sandwiches I've had. I know the previous owners are still in charge of the food truck so that's where I'd only buy sandwiches from. It's sad the new owners don't care about quality like the original owners of the Artisan did

Beat Reuben sandwich I have ever eaten. I’ve only been there one time, but after a sandwich like that, I will be back.

Let me start by saying I love this place. I first came across it when eating at the Rolling Ghost food truck. I wanted to show my family how good it was, so I brought them to the Artisan! The interior was very nice, and quite clean. The service was great and the food was ready in a modest amount of time. We ordered the brisket sandwich, the the Korean panini, the roast beef sandwich, and the corn nuggets. Everything was delicious… except the roast beef sandwich. While I appreciate the size of the sandwich, the flavors were not great. The roast beef was ok, but it was overpowered by the lettuce (shaved greens?) and tomato (definitely not roasted!). Further, I noticed absolutely no cheese, and the horseradish aioli was not really an aioli at all. What I was left with was a horseradish, lettuce and tomato sandwich with brief interspersions of beef and fried onion. Really, it was a disappointing sandwich. That fact was made worse by just how delicious everything else was! Such a fantastic meal was soured by one bad item.Regardless of the very bad beef, I would 100% recommend The Artisan. It’s a fantastic spot for lunch, but skip the roast beef.

Our experience at this shop is usually great, with delicious food, kindness and respect. However, we recently had a bad experience. The vibe was totally off. Older woman working the shop seemed utterly disinterested in taking our order. She wasn't kind or respectful when we asked about the various options. Seemed very angry so we walked out knowing that the food wouldn't be the same as before. Disappointed.

Salad was good, large but pricey for what it is but recommend getting a sandwich instead. All of their food is amazing. Don't waste your time there with a salad. I hate that the names are all changed but everything is still delicious so that's the good news. The avocado toast is the best I have ever had!

A friend had shared one of the Artisan's Reuben sandwiches with me and I was amazed at how good it was. When I was hosting an event at my business I went back and asked him where he had gotten that great sandwich. We hosted an event for 40 people and the Artisan knocked it out of the park with the food they made for us. Delicious and fresh. Top notch selections and everyone loved it. Thank you.

Good sandwiches.Edit:I stand by that they have good food. But I’ve have multiple order issues that ruin the meal.I ordered a “hungry man hero” and got home to see they didn’t put EGGS on my egg sandwich.I also recently ordered two “original” breakfast sandwiches. They were ordered as bacon, egg and cheese and got home to find both sandwiches didn’t have bacon. When the food is correct, it’s great and a decent price. But order issues like this are very amateur and shouldn’t happen. I think it’s because they try and use a digital ticket system for orders on a tablet. When in all reality they should do as every other deli has done and write a paper slip and hand it to the chef. They keep missing the mark and I hope they can turn it around.

So disappointing how inconsistent the experience is here. 2 bad experiences and 1 amazing experience. This unfortunately will probably be my last. Walked in at 9/9:15am. Nothing was on, chairs still on the tables, and it was extremely warm in there. Mind you it says they open at 7am. There was 1 guy who barely spoke English, looked hungover and obviously didn't know what he was doing (more on that). We told him what we wanted (breakfast bowl) and he stared at the menu for 10 seconds before asking us what we wanted again. Knew then he has no idea what he was doing. It's obvious they couldn't staff the place and were scrambling, as he just turned on the grill when we ordered. Breakfast bowl says farm fresh eggs, as I watched him pour onto the grill from a carton. The bowl says choice of meat, well we didn't get that. We both got sausage (didn't tell him that). Sausage is a frozen sausage patty. Took 20 mins for him to make. In that time another customer stood in the store for 10 minutes without being greeted until we told him what was going on. He left immediately. We wish we had too. The actual food was fine for cartoned eggs, frozen sausage patties and globed on crema. I brought my father in law who is visiting from San Diego and left embarrassed making every excuse as to why what we just experienced may have happened. They shouldn't have been open.

These ppl here are really amazing ppl not only is this place a nostalgic hit here in long Island but the girls who work up front, and Richie and Jay are some of the coolest most generous chefs around. Step on in here for an A1 hero or salad ?!!

Would leave zero if I could. Called ahead twice and asked if we could place a large order, was assured both times not a problem. Was assured again when placing the order. Return to pick up the order and they just reply "we're not doing it". Horrible costumer service, just tell me you can't handle a large order and I would have gone somewhere else.

We’ve been eyeing this place for quite some time and finally got a chance to try it. Got the Jewish Father and the Southern-bell and both sandwiches were absolutely amazing! Can not wait to go back! Staff was friendly and place was spotless. The only issue we have is the hours aren’t long enough. We dock at Dublin Deck and want to get sandwiches early. Would suggest opening earlier on weekends so boaters like us can grab our lunch prior to boating.
