First time diner, found the staff very friendly and extremely accommodating. We were not comfortable with the table they gave us, not a problem for the they changed it for us. The service from the full staff was outstanding, constant attention to us. The food was fabulous my wife had the Rigitoni Lobster with actual chunks of lobster and I had the Chilean Sea Bass both outstanding.
Always an excellent meal at The Oar. The food, service and live music were fantastic. We really enjoyed our date night.
We really enjoyed everything, food was great, love the view and the service was exceptional. I have been there several times and will definitely be going back.
We had a cozy seat in the back near the fireplace - perfect for our dinner. Chris our server was spot on and professionally assist us. My dinner was a very delicious manhattan clam chowder and the seared tuna - rare and well prepared. Our cocktails were delicious and the entire evening just wonderful.
I spent over $400 for a table of three and we all ordered the surf and turf for our main entree and we all wanted the steak medium and we all received our plates and all the steaks were well done I only left the waitress $40 and she was asking me why I was not satisfied and I explained to her but then she said well she could have took them back but we asked for them medium and we got well done and so then I'd have to wait for all of the steaks to be re-cooked and then the rest of the food is cold and for the amount of money I spent I didn't care for that my husband ordered fried wings for appetizer they were extremely overdone because the chicken was dried out that's how tough it was to pull the wing apart but we plan on returning because I'm assuming maybe the chef had an off day.
We were very satisfied, food was delicious and the service was really good, we will be back soon!!
Been meaning to try it. Finally has the chance. Loved every bit of it. My daughter and I shared the mussels. She had the Lobster Rigatoni and I had the Dock to Table Black Sea Bass with a lemon sauce. Well paced, didnt feel rushed. Great night out. Cant wait to go back.
great cocktails, wine, and Delicious meals - short ribs, stuffed chicken, tuna over salad, fish and chips, swordfish, & scallops over risotto - followed by wonderful desserts and after-dinner espresso martinis. Gather with friends!
Sat at the bar for a great meal and drinks. Despite being very busy, the bartenders were friendly and attentive. Great service!
This resturant was very nice, clean and had a very warm atmosphere! We all (party of 6) Enjoyed sitting at the bar prior to our dinner and enjoyed the service of our bartenders as well. After we sat at our table our waiter was excellent and very accommodating and everyone enjoyed what we ordered for dinner and will definitely be returning again.

Such a fun time every time we go! The service was above and beyond and we all love the food (even the people not big on seafood!) I always get the skirt steak and the oysters/clams. My mom swears by the seafood bisque. And I couldn't get enough of the pumpkin martinis!
Soups, mussels and scallops were very good. Drinks were fin . Salads lacked imagination and flavor coordination. Tomatoes in Caprese salad wete terrible. Take it off your menu.

I’ve been to the oar multiple times. Their coconut martini is out of this world and really what drives me to go there. They have wonderful prefixed dinners on certain nights and everything that you eat there will melt your taste buds. The vibe is nice. The staff is nice. The one thing unfortunately is that they are not dog friendly outside. However, I would return as this place is so tasty.
We spent the afternoon, at The Oar, in Patchogue.
We started off inside the Bar, but soon moved outside, to enjoy the last vestiges of warm weather.
They have a great Happy Hour, and Bartender Beth, besides being one of the most efficient Bartenders on the South Shore, is a hoot.... Great person..
Food was good, drinks better, service beyond excellent
We will be going back here
Missed all the food pictures, but I had the mussels in white sauce. They were some of the best mussels I've had in a long time..
It gets very crowded, so get there early.. Mary, the manager, and Beth the bartender, keep things going in the right direction,, Very pleasant people to deal with
