Party of 7. 5 of us were very pleased with their food. One had to send the steak back bc it was overcooked. One was just underwhelmed. Otherwise, no complaints. Two servers shared our table - they were not overly attentive, but adequate. Overall a decent experience & would be willing to return.

Awful, place was packed and post covid staff issues. we could not enjoy at all. thats how it goes just let it ride...thats why it sucks...no planning or effort

Atmosphere is great, nice big bar, plenty of high top tables & good live music. Food was good but service was excellent! our waitstaff, 'turbo' Tina went above and beyond to bring our dining experience to another level! Thanks again Tina!

My husband and I visited before Christmas. Steak tidbits with caramelized onions and mushrooms all tasted the same under a brown sauce. Since we received a coupon we decided b to try again. Being a cold day I thought I'd order the chicken pie. How long would it take to boil up some vegetables and potatoes? Instead it was canned vegetables. Not going back. Sad because it is so bright and welcoming inside.

My boyfriend and I came here for lunch. It was absolutely delicious and I'm mad we never went here prior today! We started with some Riesling. It was very good! For an appetizer we shared calamari. It was so delicious and plentiful! It could have been an entree with how generous the portion was. We liked that it was lightly fried. We also really liked the marinara sauce it was accompanied with. For my entree I chose Ahi Tuna BLT. It was delicious! The ahi tuna had a black pepper taste. Bacon was cooked to perfection. I chose oar chips as my side that were great as well. My boyfriend had the lobster rigatoni. It was so yummy!! I am absolutely ordering it the next time we go. Generous portions of lobster. The sauce was so creamy too. Our sever was Jessica and she was a real rockstar! She didn't rush us and was a great waitress overall. When she first greeted us at the beginning of our meal, she asked us if the music was too loud. Furthermore, when she heard it was our anniversary, she gave us complimentary cheesecake to celebrate. We loved everything about our meal! We cannot wait to return!

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The hostess was rude, the waitress inattentive, and the food, unfortunately, was overcooked and unappealing. Overall, a letdown.

Went to the Oar today for lunch. Food delicious, decorated beautifully for Christmas and Beth our waitress was the best. Truly a wonderful day.

I have to tell you I'm shocked at the low rating this restaurant received. I had never been there before and thought the meals were amazing. My daughter got married in October and chose this restaurant for the dinner after the wedding. They provided a room with a lot of windows and an amazing view. The menu was limited to a few items due to there being about 20 people but everyone could stop talking how good the food and the service was. The wait staff was extremely attentive and prompt. Without a doubt I would recommend The Oar. Thank you for making her day so special.
