First timers. Great vibe. Amazing drinks. No joke mixologist at the bar. Hubby and I had the calamari which was tender and good. He had the miso salmon he said was delicious I had the chicken which was off the charts filled with flavor. Great spot.

Had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner at Shands. Artful and delicious presentations. Tahini salad and a pesto pasta dish were shared. Both delicious and took leftovers home. Gotta get the Parker Rolls too! Great with butter and a blueberry compote. I had pan seared sea scallops with hazelnut, cabbage and potatoes. Loved it all! My wife had crab ravioli and she loved them too. Another great meal at Shands. Server Gabe T was excellent

Brunch menu is excellent and the food was delicious :) As usual, the service at Shands is just a touch slow, but our waiter was attentive and made sure our glasses were filled at all times. Will definitely go back!

The service was outstanding, is very hard to find a good mixologist in Long Island and this place take it to next level. I highly recommend it....

Shands was very clean, newly renovated and in general a great place to eat. The owner and staff were top notch and the music provided for the brunch was excellent. Jazz and very enjoyable.

We really just went for drinks and to chat. It was freezing at the tables and it took forever to get our drinks. Cocktail menu wasn't much. We ordered the wings which were okay! Came with little toilettes, but they only gave us 2 and we were a party of 4? If looking for a speakeasy vibe, I'd rather go to Artemis! This is more of a lowkey, quiet dinner spot.

Yummy top notch food. Cuisine was like an Italian French medley with Asian splashes. We did the chefs tasting menu and had steak tartar, tuna carpaccio, broiled oysters, chicken liver metzaluna raviolis, poached striped bass with dashi, and an limoncello olive oil cake

I brought my friend for her birthday and everything was delicious! Our server, Brooke, was very helpful and attentive. The menus even had “happy birthday” written on them. I love Shands and will always find a way back. 😊

The chicken had a perfectly crisp texture while still feeling light and enjoyable. Every bite was impressive and left me excited to return and explore more creations from the chef. I really like that the menu evolves with the seasons, which keeps things interesting. The place can feel lively and energetic at times, but the quality of the food makes the experience truly worth it.

The general atmosphere was pleasant in the bar area. The front area was comfortable but somewhat stark. The food was good but not worthy of the prices...more creativity and variety in entree sides and presentation would improve the experience. Service was great.

Great date spot or night out with the girls spot! Lively without being obnoxious. Menu is excellent.

We did the tasting menu and it was excellent. I especially enjoyed the fact that each course was spread out over time. There was a lot of food and we were there for several hours. It's a little expensive but I would do it again for a special occasion.

Went for brunch, The food was very good! I enjoyed the bacon and the avocado toast . I was surprised it only came with one piece, but it was very good. The employees seemed to really care and like their jobs which is refreshing. The acoustic music was a bit too loud and echoing. Probably just needed to be a bit lower. I will go back again and I would recommend it.

We did the tasting menu at Shands and it was amazing - I've dined at state room also very good food but I actually preferred the more casual environment at the bar at Shands - Kevin was amazing and attentive and explained every dish - one of was better than the next. Thomas made me the best dirty martini I've had in a really long time and the owner Burt had an opened bottle of amazing wine and was kind enough to let us have some of it. We don't get out as often for date nights with kids and life so this is exactly the kind of experience you hope to have when you finally go out. With so many places on Long Island to choose it's hard to return to the same places but we will definitely be adding this to our rotation!

What a fun experience. The setting, the menu, it all fits well together. Our server Rob was awesome! My wife and I ordered the chef's tastings menu. It was a bit pricy considering most of the dishes were standard plates they serve with small adjustments. That being said, it was unique enough where I would say it was totally worth it, and we got to experience some of the finer dining ingrediants (I don't want to give away the surprise!) All of the food was cooked and prepared perfectly. The only negative (and I am getting picky to find one here) is that the resteraunt is small, and our table was close to the bar. About halfway through our dinner the bar reallly packed out and we had tall younger guys standing 2 feet awa from us curing and laughing about sports. A nice quiet dinner kind of turned into a bar night at that point. Overall I would recommend anyone to make a friday/saturday reservation so you can experience the chef's tasting menu!
