Food was fair at best. Most of us ordered the smash burger. Over cooked and very underwhelming. Caesar salad had little to no dressing on it. Korean chicken wings were very good. The waiter came over for desert orders and literally told us that he was too busy to bring or make the coffees, We could order desert but the coffee might come until much later. They brought the desert (included in the prix fixe). The waiter then came back ten minutes later to tell us that the coffee would not be happening (he was too busy with other tables) and we should just take the check. Six very perplexed and disappointed customers.

As always, dinner was amazing. From the delicious drinks, courteous service, relaxing, elegant atmosphere, and the delicious dishes. And without me having to ask, they brought a cake with a candle to my daughter whose birthday it was, which was very thoughtful and absolutely delicious. I continue to highly recommend Shands and the State Room for everything from happy hour to dinner and late night snacks.

What a great place! I didn't know what to expect. Having never been there but my husband and I had a great meal, great service, and we loved the atmosphere! Our server Jasmine was very helpful with dealing with my food allergies. We will definitely go back!

The dinner experience at the State Room was an unexpected but totally great one. The ambiance was like a quaint speak easy like feel. Small, quiet and quaint. We had a gift certificate that we used from our kids which helped as the prices are a little expensive but definitely worth it! Our waiter Rob was totally attentive and very personable. If you want a quiet dinner date time I would highly recommend.

I can state that our meal was absolutely perfect. The Korean style chicken wings were incredible with a spice that was not overwhelming. My braised ribs were cooked to perfection. Our waiters were well informed and they had excellent suggestions. Enjoyed perfectly matched drinks and wines with our meal. Truly an excellent night.

Ok so... this was my third time here. The first two times were stellar.. on point. This time something was a little different. It was very crowded and noisy which it has not been the last two times I had been, but hey.. the word is out. My Korean wings were surprisingly over salted. I had to send them back. They are known for their Parker house rolls but somehow didn't taste the same tonight. My entree was short ribs and they were very delicious. Tender and very flavorful. Served with perfect mashed potatoes . The dessert we ordered was a chocolate cake. It was huge and not to be mean looked like it was from Costco. The cake part of it was delicious but the ratio of buttercream to cake was way off. The buttercream was very thick and there was way too much of it. The dessert choices were basic and lacked creativity. The wine list and cocktail list is amazing though. This spot is very expensive which I don't mind at all but make the experience really outstanding with those prices. I'm concerned now with their new found popularity they will begin cutting corners. BTW the service was impeccable. Shout out to our server Eileen who was amazing!
