Virgola is one of the very few places in Patchogue where I can go to enjoy a nice evening. Living in the area for the past two years, most Patchogue establishments (no offense) are noisy and swarmed by 20 somethings partying. Virgola offers a quieter, darker ambience and a relaxed atmosphere while having good music and live musicians. They have a very nice wine selection, a full bar and a well crafted selection of small plate option like charcuterie, shrimp cocktail, and other items. The service at the bar is prompt, attentive and pleasant. Definitely give Virgola a try.

Amazing atmosphere, outstanding wines & service is top notch. Manager Luigi is superb and Morgan behind the bar is next level! My wife & I frequent here every chance we get despite the limited menu. Doesn’t even matter. No better wine bar in the area. We simply love it here.

Fantastic! Super cozy, great service, delicious food & wine. We did wine flights, olive tapenade bruschetta, & margherita flatbread. Everything was very fresh and super tasty.

You want a romantic evening on a Saturday night? Look no further. This place is lined with some of the finest wines around. And let me tell you, the wine was so good, I never seen a woman shuck so many oysters. If it wasn't for the dim lighting and moody ambience, there's a 100% guarantee that my first date would have walked out on me. Now we're happily married with 5 kids. Thank you Virgola.

I wanted to love it here, but it was, unfortunately, amazingly mediocre. There's really not much else to say beyond that. We had the six selection tapas as well as a bottle of wine. The wine was good, but for a 300% markup, it certainly wasn't THAT good. While I recognize that's somewhat of an industry standard, I would hope that the food and ambience would make up for the cost. This, unfortunately, was not the case. Unenthusiastic staff that visited all too frequently, except for that one time you really needed them, followed by meat and cheese out of a package. While they proclaim to spruce up the ingredients, this couldn't be further from the truth. The one thing that may have had effort put in, if it wasn't store bought, was the mushrooms. Unfortunately they were drowned in a truffle oil, a faux truffle concoction best suited in low quantities. Maybe we caught them on a bad night, so your mileage may vary. For us, our mileage will be spent trucking somewhere else next time.

Every special occasion leads me here. The food is amazing, and my husbands loved the oysters. The flatbreads are also delish! It is a romantic spot, but I especially love it when it is nice out and we can sit outside. I recently went to the psychic sister night and the buffet had all of my faves too! Highly recommend!

Had a lovely evening enjoying an Italian Margarita (or 2) on the outside patio in late September. Great place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of Main Street. Clean and trendy with great staff.
