This review is for the walk up bakery and coffee shop, NOT the restaurant. The restaurant looked great and was crowded. We should have spent time and had this.
We opted to get coffee to go at the little attached shop. The coffee was awful. One was piping hot and had no taste. The other was low effort and just bad. Not sure the barista knew what they were doing. We ordered a cappuccino and flat white and both were the same size.
The ham and cheese scone was good.
Ordered an everything bagel and for some reason they couldn’t toast it but could toast the plain. We went with it. They only had plain cream cheese which was fine but it wasn’t even spread and just a scoop right in the middle of the bagel. Another low effort item.
Skip the walk up shop and just do the restaurant.

McKinney and Doyle recently catered our wedding and it was an absolute dream! My husband and I and our families have been frequenting McKinney and Doyle for many years and we had no doubt the food at our wedding would be incredible, but we didn't expect it to be next-level in the way it was - given we were serving it buffet style at a backyard wedding. It was fine-dining for 175 people at our home!
Andrew and his team were so attentive from the very beginning. Andrew made perfect recommendations for food and drinks and the serving size of each dish was SPOT on. The buffet was just absolutely delicious and also looked beautiful. Every single dish was just as good as the last and our guests were raving about their meals all night. I am still getting messages from people about how good the speciality cocktails and the dinner were!
Andrew was also extremely attentive to food allergies and he worked with me so that our guests with nut, gluten and dairy allergies were taken care of. Per Andrew's recommendation, we also started with a plated salad and it was the perfect way to keep our guests anchored to their tables and to give them a little teaser before the main meal. Everyone ate it and loved it - the wonderful house salad is exactly that.
The entire process with McKinney was wonderful and seamless and Andrew came through in every single way possible. People don't always remember the food at a wedding, but I'm confident all of our guests will forever remember how McKinney and Doyle really knocked it out of the park for us. Thank you thank you thank you!
Had a great brunch. Our server was extraordinary. Professional, knowledgeable and helpful ?

Coming as a child, I used to love their breakfast, the atmosphere and bakery. I hadn't been to dine-in in almost 10 years and was excited to go back! After this past weekend, I'll probably not be returning. We went for breakfast on Sunday a little later, around 9:30, we always enter through the bakery and was happy to see a bunch of empty booths that I sat in as a kid. I asked for a booth for 2. The older hostess didn't give us an INCH. She was extremely rude and unprofessional stating she had a table in the back, I asked again to clarify, since there were several booths available. "I understand how you might think that but they're reserved" I'm sorry, but the ENTIRE front dining room is reserved? And to not even offer so much as a "if you don't mind waiting 10-15 min for a booth" or "I have a booth for an hour, is that okay?" I would have waited for a booth to clear that WASN'T reserved. So we sat in the new part of the dining area with no windows, no character and a bad taste in our mouth. After we were done, we walked past the booths on our way out and surprise surprise, THE BOOTHS WERE EMPTY. Hire professional service workers or don't pride yourself on being the best place in town.

Thanks to the team who provided an excellent birthday dinner for my dad last night! We were a large group with a late reservation and they really took care of us. Food, drinks, and dessert were on point and they were extremely kind in not rushing us out of there even though we were the last table. Really appreciate you all making the night special!
Vegetarian options: Two very solid entree options that werent just salad (although salads were also an option). Several vegetarian apps were available and delicious.
