The food and setting are wonderful. Service was friendly but there was a big gap in time when serving all four of us our food. A restaurant of this caliber should be able to time the preparation of dishes so that everyone at the table i served at the same time.

We could not have had a better experience. Our waiter, Johnny, was very friendly and helpful. I asked for ice with my water, he observed that we'd used it all and immediately offered to bring more. I ordered salad with dressing on the side and it came exactly thus. ( and with more than ample dressing ) We both ordered the swordfish special. I requested the sauce on the side- it was. I am so glad. I preferred it as it was. It was tender and perfectly cooked. For dessert , we ordered the chocolate bomb. The description doesn't do it justice. It was perfection. We mentioned that we like our decaffeinated coffee on the strong side and Johnny prepared it for us himself- it was delicious. Thank you Apropos for a fabulous meal and service from Johnny. We will be back.

Waited almost 20 minutes before a person asked us what we would like to drink. Then wait for server another 15 minutes before getting our order taken. The couple in the next table from us also had to get up and search out the server.

The restaurant was very uneven. They claim to be farm to table which would mean that the menu was seasonal, but there was nothing seasonal at all about the menu. In fact, they even advertised seasonal cocktails at the bar but there were summer cocktails listed in December. The waitstaff were not knowledgeable about the menu at all. My husband ordered the three course steak dinner and everything was drenched in salt. The waiter never came back to check on us. Instead, the chef did and by that point my husband was so frustrated and disappointed that he just didn't eat any more of his dinner. The plates was cleared from the table with 3/4 of his entree remaining. We left before breakfast the next day. All in all, the culinary experience at Apropros was inconsistent and underwhelming. We stayed in the inn so we ate two dinners and a lunch there. If more time and effort were put into crafting the menu, rotating the food (making it actually seasonal and farm to table), and properly educating the waitstaff, this could be a terrific restaurant.

Great experience at Apropos! Food, service, beers (including a NA choice) made for a great experience.

Food was delicious, especially the tuna tartare appetizer, and pasta with clams entree. All of the servers and hostess were very courteous but service was a bit slow and their gift card system was not working properly so I couldn't use my birthday gift card, which was a real disappointment. Beautiful location.

Lovely spot to dine. The food was excellent except our food took about 45 minutes to arrive, and it wasn't busy so not sure what the problem was. Also, my eggs and heirloom tomatoes were surprisingly spicy so I had to return it. They replaced it quickly with an omelet which was delicious. Overall, it was a nice lunch but not sure we would go back.

Food was delicious but the portions were small. I had the Cachio e Pepe which had plenty of pasta but only four clams.

Was hesitant due to the negative experiences a notable amount of people had here, but my expectations were very much exceeded. Staff was very kind to my infant son and delivered one of the best brunches I've had to date.

I ate at this restaurant two nights while staying at The Abbey Inn. Food is good, creative cocktails at the bar, service is a little slow. Took about 40 minutes for entrees to be served. I wouldn't think much about this if it only happed once but it happened both nights, once eating at the bar the other in the dining room.

Went for the Thanksgiving buffets at the first serving. The vibe was like being in a David Lynch film. Eating in a church, walked into silence, and wait staff all seemed confused. They had live music but was sad quiet songs. Not the musicians fault but the vibe was so depressing and weird. The “buffet” was as if Holiday Inn sponsored it. Sad and basic as well. It cost nearly $100 a person with tax and tip and $60 for kids. Spent nearly $390 on a crappy thoughtless food. Trader Joe's has nicer cheese than they had, no one knew what the stuffing and mushroom risotto was, runny mash potatoes, and dry turkey. Had one carving station when for this price it should have been a few. Dessert wasn't even out and when they did make that station it was three sad cakes. Nothing to be excited about. They had a bar with no ice serving hot white wine and sodas. Paid Manhattan prices for Applebees food. The staff kept saying, “Hopefully, you come back.” Yeah no, never again! They even knew this was an absolute disaster rip off.

I went to dinner on Tuesday night in Restaurant Week.. We had been last year during restaurant week, so we decided to go again. Last years menu was what brought us back this year. The menu had delicious choices and although the portions were small they were great, locally sourced and prepared with care.
The menu for restaurant week last night looked like a vegan six year old planned it. For $44 you could get cabbage, soup, the only protein was ribs and three courses of vegetables salad and some potato gratin. We opted for the regular menu and shared mussels and had pasta. The mussels had no spoon, no broth but were cooked and tasty. The pasta was on the way to being cold and less than 1/4 pound of thick pasta. I was drinking so it did not bother me at the time but had the waiter described the salmon correctly with couscous and not risotto I would not be writing you. It’s my own fault for thinking I would get a good pasta out for I’m a great cook.

The ambience was absolutely beautiful. The food was very good. Unfortunately, the server we had was not that friendly did not smile overall just was not customer service friendly, which is unfortunate because it's a beautiful restaurant which was embarrassing for me as I was with friends and recommended the restaurant.
