Service was a bit slow - at a nice place i expect to order a cocktail, then my meal. We waited about 15 minutes after being sat and then were asked to order everything. Normally I would wait, but it had already been 15 minutes... Food was good, nothing great.

We were staying at the Inn overnight so decided to dine here. It was a very pleasant experience. The service was top notch and food was fantastic

The resort is absolutely drop dead gorgeous, but I was very disappointed in the food. They need a new chef. I ordered an entree of scrambled eggs, and the amount of eggs they served took up my plate was about 15 percent! About the size of my small fist. The rest was french fries and sausages. I also ordered avocado toast, that was very bland and the bread was out of proportion to the avocado, and was barely toasted at all. If I do go back it will be just for the ambience at the bar, not the food.

Very quiet place to have a conversation with your partner. Workers are friendly and helpful. Food delicious.

It's a view and a bar which are very nice. I think it would be great for pre holiday drinks for example. The food is mediocre even pedestrian.

The setting and ambience is excellent. However, we were very disappointed in the food. The hamburger was tasty but overcooked. The red wine was quite bland.

My reviews for everything about Apropos are always top notch. I go there often as I am a local. I'm not giving 5 stars this time as I am a bit disappointed in my 2:00 pm lunch reservation timing. I realize this is the final slot for lunch with dinner beginning at 5:00pm. In addition, I realize that we had late guest arrivals at our table but we all tried to make things work out by getting their orders in advance while they were driving up and sitting in traffic. The staff accommodated us very nicely by keeping their meals warm in the kitchen until their arrival. So thank you very much for all that. However, what was concerning to me was that about 4:15/4:30pm we were asked to move on as they needed to get the tables ready for dinner. (All other tables were set in the room and it couldn't take but a few minutes to do that one.) At this point our coffee and dessert had just arrived and we felt pressured to wolf it down to get out of their way. Everyone was friendly about it, including us, but it honestly didn't sit well when we're spending 300.00 on lunch and we felt rushed to move on. (Do you kick dinner guest out in the middle of dessert?) We found our own way to the hotel lobby (after paying the bill) and took our cappuccinos with us....but honestly the approach could have been better and the staff should have tried to accommodate us somewhere else instead of basically asking us to leave. One of our guests traveled up from SC and this wasn't quite the northern charm we would have liked to have shown her. We didn't pick your venue for an eat and run work lunch. We selected you to enjoy a birthday celebration with friends and we did hope to linger and perhaps enjoy an additional cocktail after that dessert and coffee..... Perhaps if there is this much pressure to get a 2:00 reservation out before a certain time you shouldn't offer that slot and end reservations for lunch at 1:30. Or don't seat someone for lunch where you may have a reservation for 5:00 pm.

My wife and I had a lovely dinner. Beautiful setting right on the Hudson River, and we really enjoyed our food and the service. The salmon and Cacio e Pepe were delicious. Try the Sazerac cocktail, as well!

It's a once-in-a-while place. The night we were there, they had run out of steak. Our meals were good, but nothing extraordinary.

Food was absolutely outstanding!! Service could have been a little faster but staff were very pleasant. Will definitely be returning to dine.

This is a beautiful restaurant but unfortunately the food had no taste. We were very disappointed.

The service was attentive at the perfect level, and the food was exquisite. The timing was slightly off in that we waited for 1 of 2 main course, a few minutes, but really overall it was lovely; the sunset view and the Hudson River was perfect too 🌅$160 for 2 plus tip, no alcohol or dessert.

The food quality was below average. The onion soup had no flavor, was full of bread, not croutons and covered with full pieces of sliced cheese. The Cesar salad dressing was tasteless and the hamburger was just ordinary. There were little ants crawling all over our table. What has happened to the restaurant??? There was a time when it was really good. I will not go there anymore.

THIRD TIME WAS NO CHARM! This was the third time we visited this restaurant and the last. This was a special day for us as it was our anniversary. We were seated in a dining room that had only a few people dining. I noticed that there was a beautiful corner table vacant in their romantic dining room. The host respected my request. We ordered a beautiful bottle of Sancere which they were out of, so we settled for another. Mussels appetizer along with Roasted Duck and the Pork belly special was ordered. It took at least an hour before our main course showed up after finishing the appetizer. The pork belly was more like a pork chop and the entire duck dish was so salty that it was inedible. We asked for the manager and expressed our disappointment. It really didn't faze her. She asked if we would like something else. At that point all I wanted was the check and to get out of there. The dinner was completely compensated but the damage was done. Unfortunately, the Abbey is a spectacular and magical venue with a restaurant that has no clue as to good quality or service. Very disappointing!

we ordered four different dishes. The vegetable paella was bland, the fish dish was thin and the pearl pasta was bland, the duck was so salty that it was inedible, the pork belly could not be cut with a knife - tough and gristely - two thirds were left on the plate. All in all this was the worst meal we have had in many years and it was the most expensive to boot. I am a better cook than whoever prepared that meal. Dwight
