We arrived at 6 in plenty of time for drinks and food before the show at 8. Drinks and appetizers came timely, but entrees didn't come until 7:45, even though they were ordered around 6:20.
When we got to Gleasons they were trying to decide where they were going to seat us. We had a reservation. After 10 minutes they seated us. They didn't have any menus left. It took another 15 minutes to get one. We had to go get our own drinks at the bar. The waiter was busy. He finally took our order. 2 things. A salad and pizza! After 1 hour we got the wrong salad. They realized after 5 minutes and gave us the one we ordered without dressing but came with dressing. No pizza for at least another 10 minutes and it was the wrong pizza!! Another half hour we finally got it. The waiter never asked if we wanted a drink. I had to ask him. 1 1/2 hours to get our food . The band was great and the food was good. It just put a damper on what was supposed to be a nice night out.
Another night at Gleasons, and Great as always! Food Delish, Service great and ambiance fun!
We were among the first few tables to be seated at 5 pm. We chose this restaurant due to its proximity to The Paramount Theater where we had tix for a 7pm show. At first the server seemed very nice. Took our order promptly and moved on to other tables. My appetizer and salad came out quickly. As the restaurant filled up. The service declined. My husband only ordered an entree of chicken Parmesan and spaghetti. He waited an hour to get it. Unacceptable. I wanted pepper for my salad. Had to flag down a server twice to get it. The food was mediocre to fair at best. I didn't expect gourmet quality but I do expect quality service in any restaurant and this one failed miserably. It was my husband's birthday and I was hoping he'd have a much better experience. Choose another nearby restaurant if you're planning to eat before a show at The Paramount. We certainly will.
We were a party of two for dinner prior to a show at The Paramount. We shared a large Caesar salad as an appetizer and pistachio gelato for dessert. We each had a pizza (Scarpariello and four cheese). Everything was delicious. The service was attentive and friendly. Gleason's is the perfect spot for dinner before a show.
Great! We loved the atmosphere and the food. Shared a pizza to start and then had penne a la vodka, one with chicken and one without. For a place with an Irish name, the Italian food is quite good. I've already made my next reservation before another show, and I'm sure it won't be my last.
Early dinner Thursday. Nice ambience. High-backed booth felt private. Nice ambience. Exceptionally friendly waiter. Couldn't be nicer. Enjoyed fresh salad, flavorful pizza, sautéed spinach and cold IPA. Perfect for us.
Promptly seated and served.

We went to Gleason's a year ago and it was pretty bad (service and food). But we decided to give it another shot last night. Our waiter was doing his best but it seemed he was the only one on the whole floor with most tables full. There were 2 bartenders but it still wtook 30 minutes to get our drinks. And the food took an hour. We were going to a show and so had to shovel down what we could in 10 minutes. Additionally, one of us got the wrong order but by then it was too late. This is the last time we will go there. They have everything going for them but they have blown it.

We ate here prior to seeing a show at the Paramount next door. We sat and waited over 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge we had even sat down. Finally, the hostess came over to take our order. After she delivered our drinks, we waited over 40 minutes for two burgers. Our server never came over the entire time we were there. Several tables were aggravated at the slow service. Basically the hostess waited on us the entire time to the best of her ability. They comped us our sodas for the poor service and wait. Overall, the food wasn't that great to make the aggravation of the experience worth it. This was our second time dining here. The first time the wait was lengthy as well, but we actually had a server. We will not be returning to Gleason's in the future.
Food was good, the service excellent. Our server was very accommodating making sure we were not late for our 8pm show at the Paramount Theater. Also we wound up with 8 not 7 and they accommodated us with no drama, very appreciative.
Waitstaff friendly...but...food came mistreated which 1st produced an argument and then when redone caused us to eat at totally different times...also very noisy
My husband and I were underwhelmed by our Sunday mid-afternoon meal at Gleason’s in Peekskill. We hosted friends from out-of-town recently and chose Gleason’s for an early dinner based on favorable on-line reviews.
Aside from the barmaid and a few patrons at the bar, we were the only diners during our 2 hour stay. The barmaid (doubling as waitress) was attentive when taking our orders and bringing our food/ beverages but her focus then shifted to serving the bar patrons delaying our coffee service for nearly 30 min.
The atmosphere was typical pub-influenced but the background music made it nearly impossible to carry on a conversation.
We were constantly bothered by flys circling around our heads and plates - the open door aeration and pest control practices need reevaluation.
The appetizers (fried calamari and Margarita pizza) were overly seasoned with salt and calamari spongy once cool. Both my husband’s and friend’s Smokehouse Burgers + overly seasoned fries remained on their plates unfinished. By no means a typical occurrence for two burger connoisseurs. The pesto sauce garnishing the Margarita pizza and mixed in the bed of Risotto (Salmon special), was excessively pungent/ off-putting - (basil/cheese/oil ratio off balance) leaving a bitter aftertaste causing numerous curtain-calls throughout the night.
The Penne à la Vodka lacked luster because of the few specks of prosciutto and mere tinge of sauce blushing the pasta.
In summary, regrettably Gleason’s is not an eatery on our hit parade by any stretch of the imagination.
Four very unhappy recent patrons. 🤨☹️😝🤢
