The first time we had a Flour Power cake was for my daughter’s surprise 18th birthday. I’d had a couple of questions which I placed in their online form and the next morning, I received a phone call that addressed every concern/question I'd mentioned; it was a great conversation. I loved the thoughtfulness and kindness throughout the entire process. Not at all surprisingly, the Double Chocolate cake was a hit!! Everyone - including our family - LOVED it. Our son doesn’t like cake - he ate 3 pieces lol!! That’s why the moment we were having a family gathering for her graduation we all said - we have to have that cake! Family friends are having an event in August and already asked for info because they want a Flour Power cake too!

Not a fan. I was excited to try it due to all the reviews and really happy they offer banana pudding. The whole wheat muffin was really good, I was surprised by that as I would never order it. Both cupcakes were dry with very thick doughy frosting. Not my style frosting at all. Of course I got the banana pudding and found it was an imitation of Magnolias Bakery. Not a true banana pudding, which shouldn't be a surprise in the north. I had hope for a true southern banana pudding. Guess I have to stick with from scratch and doing it myself. Service kind of sucked, as they kept taking several orders from the same two people that kept adding more and more while I waited to place my first order. The inside was nice and inviting, so if you enjoy their style of baked goods, it would definitely be a nice place to go. There was no rush. Just 2 customers going back and forth placing multiple orders as they decided to purchase more. Customer A ordered paid and was waiting, then customer B ordered and paid. Back to A because they saw something else they wanted they paid for new order. Then back to customer B because they to saw something else new they wanted as they were handed their original order. Mean while I sat behind 2 people for four orders that were completed before anyone finally offered to help me. And no, no one once suggested the cupcakes be brought to room temperature.
Don’t hesitate if you’re looking for something either turnkey or custom for your parties.. We’ve going to Flour Power for the last 3 years since my son’s 1st birthday and most recently for my daughter’s 1st birthday ..Our cakes have always come out so beautiful AND delicious.. For those of you not local and iffy about having baked goods shipped. I can ASSURE you not to worry. I ordered their valentines day cookies and bars and when I tell you they were shipped quick, arrived fast, in perfect condition, perfect consistency, (red velvet is my weakness and those bars were amazing didn't make it through the night =P). I'll definitely be ordering from them again and am currently planning on taking a trip to try out their treats in store which is an amazing prospect considering how well made their shipped treats are =).
In conclusion go there. if you can't? Have it shipped well worth their more than reasonable prices. That's one talented bakery =)

I was excited to try this place out, I purchased three different items and I’m not impressed. My chia spiced zucchini bread was hard as a rock, I moved onto my edible cookie dough and really couldn’t taste any flavor aside from sugar. I still have a cupcake left so hopefully I’m impressed. This bakery seems like it’s really great for custom cakes and orders. It felt like a corporation and not a bakery feel. Will not be going back
