Delicious crust infused with so much flaky goodness. Loved the ham and Swiss croissant, pretzel, and strawberry Danish.
You know this is true bakery as soon as you walk in. Real bread made with real flour..!! These days it’s hard to find bread that is not made with enriched flour. Blue Heron uses locally extracted organic wheat flour.. nothing else added - you can see the bags as soon as you enter. The bread and baked goods are rich in flavor with a fantastic texture. What a gem of a place.
Unbelievably fresh and delicious baked goods! The French loaf is out of this world fantastic, and the croissants, pretzels, etc. are wonderful as well. So impressive for a bakery in a small town! Definitely worth a visit. It’s the best bakery in the area for homemade, fresh breads.
Bakery is in along a really beautiful riverfront trail in Penn Yan. A must stop if you are in the area. The baguettes, muffins and croissants are delicious.
Great bakery! Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent pastries. Everything is delicious, and the croissants are out of this world amazing!

Very friendly. Proper bakery . Fresh bread and pastries - limited range but no limit on quality. Best laminated croissants we’ve ever had outside of France and better than most in

Stopped in and there was nothing fresh ready. At 8:15am!! Asked to come back later!! We are on vacation and have many other options
My friends and I were passing through town and decided to stop at this bakery for a snack. We all thought the cheese danishes were the best we had in our lives - and we’re from New York City… I also had a pear donut that was so perfect and buttery and not too sweet. The coffee was also great! Thanks Blue Heron!

The fig /anise rolls are to die for. I paired with tuna steaks, sautéed rice and green salad and a Pinot noir from Oregon. The rolls were a masterpiece.
