The owner, Margaret is a sweet lady. She is always pleasant and always willing to have a conversation with her customers. Her German potato salad is amazing! The BEST EVER! Highly Recommend getting it. She had German foods as well. She makes everything fresh. I first came here over 20 years ago, and she continues to make great food. I love her collection of candy to purchase. If you’re in town, I highly recommend going here to get some good food and have a picnic in the area. CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!

The business is cash only, and I observed the proprietor make three customers' orders with her bare hands without washing them once after handling cash between each order. Not the most hygienic practice.

Fantastic sandwiches, and great owners!

I loved this place. I got to speak German to the owner who was so peasant. She gave us good directions to other nearby stores. And she personally cut all of our deli meat and wrapped it so extra nice. Older store, but good products.

Margaret is a very nice small business owner! Her sandwiches are fresh and delicious! My go to deli in Phoenicia!

I'm sorry, but the place is dark and dumpy. I would be very hesitant to eat much of what is sold here. The store at the gas station is bright and clean in comparison.

I love this place, the sandwiches are delicious and there is a nice selection of pastries, baked goods and assorted european cookies and products. We love the sandwich lady too, she's not known for her quickness but her sandwiches are the best around.

The sandwiches we bought we're a joke. Ham and Swiss on rye. At best a 1/16th of a pound was put on it. I felt like I was eating bread with muster on it. My wife had Ham on a roll. It was worse than mine. The cute little old lady act doesn't work for me. $14.00 for 2 crappy pieces of bread that had maybe an 1/8 of an inches of meat on it. The store had a few German products in it. My wife spoke to her in German and I answered in German. Still we were totally ripped off. I will say the potatoe salad wasn't bad. Bottom line stay way from this rip off deli. Or buy a pound of deli meat and 2 rolls and make your own sandwich. This is the 1 and only time I will go here. He worse sandwich I ever got ripped off for.

So thrilled to have a store that is opened when others are not. The cooked food is delicious! The man there is sure to always have a nice dinner like thing for the holidays and they are always open on Xmas. reviewer Virginia O: Please get a life. No one wants to read a 4 page hate rant. This store may not have everything or be spotless but all locals and visitors alike are thrilled it has the necessities and some damn good meatballs! Thanks for being there!

Every sandwich carefully made to order, so don't plan on rushing in and out -- but well worth the wait! Deising's baked goods also available here -- the Philly Fluff is my favorite.

Love this deli and it's owner Margaret. Don't miss the unique German foods for sale, or the lovingly prepared salads and sandwiches. Her homemade Friendship bread is out of this world. Just lightly sweetened.
