WOW! I feel like this pizza spot was transplanted from Brooklyn! Everything we ordered was stellar. The grandma pizza is one of the best I had, exploding with flavor Garlic knots are soft and chewy in the middle. Onteora hot hero with grilled chicken, mozzarella, pesto, pepper with perfectly toasted bread. Loaded waffle fries crispy. I'm shocked this amazing eatery is located in such a remote area. HIGHLY recommend!

Place is pretty good. They don’t really have any side options. Nothing comes with fries or anything. Going to Brio’s ends up being a better deal because you get a side with every sandwich or wrap etc. It’s open every day which is rare in the Catskills, but they definitely need to start offering sides with their sandwiches for the price.

Great addition to the area and they're open every day! Amazing. The pizza selections are expansive and creative, and it's probably the best tasting pizza in the area. The staff is also very pleasant and efficient. Dine in or take out. Oh, and you can get a haircut in the tiny barbershop that's kinda built in to the pizza shop. Totally separate though (no hairs flying into pizzas).

We were sad to see the previous owners of this location have to close down. That said the new owners at Pizza 28 are doing a fantastic job. The food is delicious. We love the Detroit style pizza and the great combinations they come up with. Pulled pork and buffalo chicken are my favorites. Service is also excellent as the staff is always upbeat and helpful. Whether it’s a couple slices for the road, a full pie or the other excellent choices on the menu we highly recommend Pizza 28.

Was very excited to try this place. Figured I would order several hot sandwiches, nothing fancy, the classics; meatball parm, sausage, peppers and eggplant parm subs, order of fries. What a MAJOR disappointment! Meatball parm had 3 meatballs that were small &cut in half with a smear of sauce & some cheese. I could see why the option of extra meatballs was available ( for an add'l $1.75, but for 13.95 I figured it had to have enough meat on it...not the case). Sausage and peppers, pretty much the same thing...not enough meat, sauce etc (bread is good though) &finally the biggest disappointment was the eggplant parm. In all my years, I've never seen eggplant prepared like this ( I like to think I know better being first generation Italian). It was sliced super thin and then cut in these small pieces, placed on the sandwich, then the scant amount of cheese placed on top (the sauce appeared to be spread on the bread first). Waffle fries, ok (frozen). I would say stick to the pizza, although we haven't tried that. Pleasant girl that helped which is always nice!
