Rivertown closed in 2023. Pandemic hit them hard, they downsized their menu substantially, almost to sandwich shop level, and never really restored to the original. People stopped visiting and they finally shut down. Now it's Roka, a much better menu and very friendly helpful staff. I hope they thrive!

Love the location & it's better than anywhere in the plaza. Checks off everything on the list. Food, service, atmosphere, FRIENDS! Highly recommend for a night out.
Rivertown Taphouse was a popular local spot known for its great location, lively atmosphere, and tasty menu. Customers enjoyed the wide range of options, including the famous Oysters on Thursdays and a satisfying BLAT (bacon, lettuce, avocado, and tomato) served with perfectly cooked fries. The restaurant was appreciated for its friendly service and had a selection of gluten-free items. It was also favored for outdoor seating in the summer months, with heaters available in the fall, and a cozy indoor space with a fireplace during the winter. Well-behaved dogs were welcome outside, making it a great place for a walk around Piermont, with views of the Hudson River and the Tappan Zee Bridge, which is beautifully lit at night. However, during the pandemic, the restaurant faced challenges that led to downsizing its menu and operations, eventually closing in 2023. The space has now been taken over by a new establishment, Roka, promising an even better dining experience.
