My husband and I came in for “Valentines Day Eve” dinner tonight and everything was phenomenal! We both had strip steaks off Valentines menu. Food was excellent and delicious and the service was outstanding. Everyone was attentive and so incredibly kind. Thank you for a wonderful meal and we will see you again soon!

My husband and I stopped in for some much-needed time to ourselves after one of the most stressful weeks of our life. The service...amazing. Darcy was warm, inviting, attentive, and had great recommendations. The food.... absolutely incredible. My husband had the short rib grilled cheese and I had the burgundy burger... absolutely exquisite! We both had the shongum lager, a local beer brewed in Beacon specifically for the restaurant, which was so delicious. The atmosphere reminded me of a local restaurant in the town I grew up in....cozy, inviting, and a feeling of being at your good friend's house for a meal. We talked with Darcy and her husband Adam after our meal and it was like talking to old friends. We cannot recommend this place enough and look forward to coming back with the rest of our family!

So I was part of a big group of people for a Christmas party that was held last Friday. When I say this was one of the worst experiences, it was. We were a party of around 25. We had to pay 30 a person plus tax and tip and if you wanted any alcohol, you had to pay extra. It was buffet style with a choice of three foods some salad, and some shrimp. It was supposed to be penne vodka, chicken, franchise, and some kind of beef dish. When I tell you, the food was horrendous probably made my top five worst food experiences. It was not penne vodka. It looked like they put pasta in a chaffing dish and put Ragu on top. They had no bread or cheese. The chicken and the beef I did not have, as I was terrified to eat it. The chicken looked like a vomit. All of us just kept complaining how awful the food was and how much money we wasted going here. There was no wait staff. It was just a pregnant woman behind a bar, Who I assume is the owner, her two kids running around and a guy in the kitchen.. I didn’t have any alcohol because I didn’t want to give Any more money. The service was terrible. They were extremely rude. The kids were obnoxious running around our party. People had to wait 20 minutes for a drink because there’s no bartender other than this one woman. They had no top shelf liquor. And they ran out of a lot of glasses and silverware. There was no busser, we were busing our own tables. My boss who organized everything told the lady that it was a Christmas party and that she would like to have some decorations. There was no decorations there and my boss actually brought her own. The best thing was the desserts that we all brought, and that’s what everybody loaded up on. I would never recommend this place and I would never go back. What a waste of $35. I literally ate three bites of pasta for that. Two people actually did get sick that night from the food. At least we had fun in each other‘s company. But I would not recommend going here between the horrendous food, Kids running around and the rude staff. Save your money and go to a decent place. I don’t even know how this place is in business.

I’m here on a job sight and this place is the only place within 15 mile radius and didn’t expect much … I was wrong. The service was quick and on point! My food came out hot and fresh! They also had fresh basil for me and that’s not even on the menu. Caprese sandwiches was amazing and sweet potato fries were amazing ! Nice family ran restaurant I loved it here ! Coming back tomorrow for lunch again !! 10/10 RECOMMEND! P.s I’m sorry for my spelling I’m from Russia/ Ukraine and still learning English ! God bless America !

Wonderful family owned restaurant. Real nice people and excellent food. They have an uncomplicated menu so easy to choose from several options. There's also a variety of tasty specialty drinks from the bar. So full from the meal that we didn't get dessert. Highly recommend this restaurant. Plus they have music on weekends; we were there on a Monday. Looking forward to returning.

We were on a bike tour over the weekend and happened on this restaurant. It couldn’t have been timed better. We were out of water and as hungry as could be. The staff was extremely welcoming, chatted with us about our ride, and filled our bottles before we left. Lunch was excellent and the price was right. Highly recommend if you’re in the Minnewaska area on a bike ride and need to refuel.

Cool little place with great service & food. Stopped here on a Sat afternoon and pretty much had it to ourselves. One of the owners was in the kitchen himself cooking up our lunch. Cheese curds appetizers were yummy along with a beautiful, hand-patted burger, and short-rib grilled cheese. Everything was flavorful & served quickly.

We had such a wonderful time at On The Rocks tonight! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and it truly felt like home. Our waitress and her family were incredibly kind and genuine some of the nicest people we’ve ever met.
The food was absolutely delicious, clearly made with care, and came out quickly and perfectly prepared. Everything from the service to the setting was just spot on.
